KIDDIE MENUS EARN A TIMEOUT

More than 90 percent of children's meals at 13 major restaurant chains are too high in calories, a nonprofit public health group reported. Nearly half of kids' meals exceed recommendations for saturated and trans fat, which can raise blood cholesterol levels and increase the risk of heart disease, and 86 percent of children's meals are high in sodium, the Center for Science in the Public Interest said.

IN FACT Subway's kids' meals were rated the best among the chains examined, in part because its meals include milk or juice, not soft drinks.
