VEIRS MILL RD.,2000 block, 9:54 p.m. July 24. A 43-year-old man, of no fixed address, was arrested on a charge of exposing himself.

ASSAULTS

GRIDLEY RD.,4400 block, July 26. A man struck an adult acquaintance with a hammer. A 35-year-old man and a 28-year-old man were arrested in connection with the incident.

ROBBERIES

LEWIS AVE.,1900 block, 12:10 a.m. July 25. A man asked another man for a cigarette, threatened him and demanded his property. A 26-year-old Rockville man was arrested in connection with the incident.

LINCOLN AND NORTH HOMERS AVENUES,6:43 p.m. July 27. A boy struck a man and demanded property at knifepoint. No property was obtained.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

ACADEMY WAY,12200 block, midnight July 25 to noon July 26. A computer and aircraft tools were stolen after a forced entry.

INDUSTRIAL PKWY.,2100 block, 7:40 p.m. July 24. A person took out a knife during an argument with another person. The person with the knife was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE.,9200 block, 7:30 to 7:50 p.m. July 26. A man stabbed a person with a knife during an argument.

PINEY BRANCH RD.,9300 block, 3 a.m. July 27. A man threatened a person, chased the person a short distance and a scuffle ensued. The man cut the person with a knife and fled in a white pickup.

ROBBERIES

ALDORA CIR.,14100 block, 12:42 a.m. July 23. Two men demanded cash from a man at gunpoint as he approached his residence. When he said he did not have much, the men fled empty-handed.

COLESVILLE RD.,8400 block, 3 p.m. July 27. Two men asked someone at a bus stop for cash. When the person refused, one of the men displayed a knife and threatened the person. The men fled with the person's cash.

ELLSWORTH DR. AND WOODSIDE PKWY.,10 p.m. July 26. Two men demanded cash from a person at gunpoint. The men fled empty-handed.

GLENVILLE RD. AND LANGLEY DR.,1:30 a.m. July 28. Two men demanded cash from a pedestrian at gunpoint. When the person tried to flee, one of the men shot the person and fled with a bag of cash.

BAYFIELD ST.,700 block, 12:11 p.m. July 22. A residence was entered. A Realtor visiting the property found two homeless men inside, and police arrested them.

CAVALIER DR.,10700 block, 3 to 3:30 p.m. July 14. Property was stolen from a residence. There was no sign of forced entry.

COLUMBIA PIKE,10700 block, 5 p.m. July 22 to 9 a.m. July 24. Property was stolen from a residence. There was no sign of forced entry.

ASPEN HILL SHOPPING CENTER REAR ALLEY,8:52 p.m. July 25. Two men demanded cash from a man in an alley behind a restaurant. When he refused, the men punched him, robbed him of his personal property and fled in a black sport-utility vehicle.

GEORGIA AVE.,12300 block, 4:28 p.m. July 25. A man who had been part of a group of 15 men followed a pedestrian. When the man attempted to take the pedestrian's wallet from his pocket, the pedestrian pulled away, keeping the wallet. The pedestrian then followed the man and called police. An 18-year-old was arrested.

GLENALLEN AVE.,2300 block, 12:17 a.m. July 28. A man robbed a woman of property.

HEADWATERS LANE AND MORNINGWOOD DR.,1:45 a.m. July 27. Four men struck a male jogger and robbed him of property.

HEATHFIELD RD.,4100 block, 2:10 a.m. July 21. Three men in a silver minivan drove past two boys walking in the area. The men returned a short time later, one of them armed with a metal club. One man robbed the boys of personal property. A 20-year-old Wheaton man was arrested in connection with the incident.

MUDDY BRANCH RD.,10 p.m. July 29. A man demanded cash from another man in a parking lot. When the person refused, the man pulled out a gun and took the other man's property.

BOOTH ST., July 22 to July 23. A Global Positioning System device was stolen from a vehicle that someone entered by breaking a window.

ASSAULTS

EDMONSTON DR.,500 block, 12:40 to 1:45 a.m. Aug. 1. A Rockville man, 36, was arrested and charged with first-degree aggravated assault.

LONG TRAIL LANE,200 block, 4:49 p.m. July 29. A Gaithersburg man, 40, was arrested and charged with second-degree domestic assault.

RIDGEWAY AVE.,5700 block, 6:22 p.m. July 23. A man, 18, of Gaithersburg, and a man, 19, of Rockville and Gaithersburg, were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana. The Gaithersburg man was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, and the other man was also charged with second-degree assault on a police officer and resisting arrest.

ROBBERIES

N. HORNERS LANE AND LINCOLN AVE. , July 30. A boy was arrested on charges of robbery, first- and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment in an incident July 27.

DAFOE CT., unit to 100 block, 10 p.m. July 24 to 8:30 a.m. July 25. A Global Positioning System device, cellphone and cellphone charger were stolen from a vehicle.

JAY DR.,200 block, 7 a.m. to 7:49 p.m. July 29. Entry was made to a residence by unknown means, and cash and checks were stolen.

MAPLE AVE.,1100 block, 7:30 to 10 a.m. Aug. 1. Someone entered a residence by forcing in a rear basement window; cash, credit cards, a digital camera, a video camera and two rings were stolen.

MARTINS LANE,300 block, 5:30 to 7 p.m. Aug. 1. A duffle bag containing a watch, eyeglasses, swimming trunks, an identification card and keys was stolen from an unlocked locker at a swimming facility.

MCINTYRE RD.,600 block, 11:30 p.m. Aug. 1 to 10:45 a.m. Aug. 2. A Global Positioning System device was stolen from a vehicle.

POPLAR SPRING RD.,200 block, 6:30 p.m. July 29 to 7:30 a.m. July 30. A digital music player with an adaptor and a Global Positioning System device were stolen from a vehicle.

ROCKVILLE PIKE,1500 block, 3:45 p.m. July 23. A Fort Washington man, 30, was arrested on charges of shoplifting.

ROCKVILLE PIKE,1500 block, 10:35 p.m. Aug. 2. Disposable razors, trimmers, electric shavers, clipper sets, electronic razors and a gift bag were stolen from a retail store.

ROCKVILLE PIKE,1700 block, 3 to 3:45 p.m. July 24. A wallet was stolen from a hotel office.

ROLLINS AVE.,100 block, 7:30 p.m. July 25 to 10:50 a.m. July 26. Someone kicked in a rear door of a grocery store, and cash was stolen.

SHADY GROVE RD.,14900 block, 10 p.m. July 26 to 10:05 a.m. July 27. Someone attempted to enter a restaurant by prying open two front doors.

CARJACKING

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE.,7400 block, 6:15 p.m. Aug 2. Two men were confronted by a car owner when they tried to enter the person's vehicle by force. The men then entered a white Jeep Cherokee. A passenger inside the Jeep pulled out a handgun. No injuries were reported, and no property was taken.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

CARROLL AVE.,7600 block, 10:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Aug. 6. Property was stolen from a vehicle entered by force.

HEATHER AVE.,1000 block, 1:30 a.m. Aug. 2. Property was stolen from a vehicle entered by force.

MAPLE AVE.,7700 block, 12:13 to 9 a.m. Aug. 1. Property was stolen from a vehicle entered by force.

PINEY BRANCH RD.,7600 block, 5 p.m. Aug. 2 to 7 a.m. Aug. 3. A vehicle was entered through an unlocked door. Nothing was reported missing.

SLIGO CREEK PKWY.,7900 block, 2 a.m. Aug. 3. A man entered a residence through an unlocked door and took property but was interrupted and fled when a resident awoke after hearing noises, saw the intruder and yelled. The property was recovered outside the residence.

WOODLAND AVE.,7000 block, 8:30 p.m. Aug. 1 to 9:45 a.m. Aug. 2. A residence was entered through an unlocked door. Nothing was reported missing.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

HICKORY AVE., unit to 100 block, 5:30 p.m. Aug. 6 to 11:45 a.m. Aug. 7. A 1997 Mercury Marquis was stolen.
