PERSONNEL DEPT.
SS Alberto González (left gluteus) and LF Elijah Dukes (calf), both recovering from injuries, likely will head to Viera, Fla., this weekend to begin rehabilitation programs. Neither player is yet ready for a rehab assignment, though. . . . In total, the Nationals signed 30 of their 50 draft picks, including OF Marcus Jones (11th round) and OF J.P. Ramirez (15th round). Ramirez, with a $1 million bonus, agreed just minutes before Friday night's midnight deadline, and was only given the offer once the team realized none of the money allocated for top pick Aaron Crow would be needed.
