With Day 2 convention plans and speakers still in question as damage from Hurricane Gustav is assessed, programming schedules for cable channels and the broadcast networks remain tentative.

In prime time, expect a mix of network reports from the Gulf area and the convention in St. Paul. On NBC, for example, Tom Brokaw will anchor convention coverage while Brian Williams is in New Orleans. Here are a few options for cable viewing:

Fox News Channel: The whole lineup is live from St. Paul, with the exception of anchor Shepard Smith, who is in New Orleans. On-site shows in Minnesota include "Fox & Friends," which will start at 5 a.m., "America's Newsroom" at 9 a.m., "Your World With Neil Cavuto" at 5 p.m. and "America's Election HQ" at 9:45 p.m.

C-SPAN: Depending on adjustments made by convention planners, the channel will air live gavel-to-gavel coverage.

CNN: The news outlet will switch between the convention and Gulf Coast all day; "Larry King Live" is scheduled for midnight, with King hosting in New Orleans.

MSNBC: Chris Matthews hosts the convention coverage in St. Paul throughout the day and evening.

CN8: With GOP-themed segments from 8 to 11 p.m., anchors interview House Minority Whip Roy Blunt (Mo.) and Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison (Tex.).
