EDGEMOOR LANE,4800 block, 2:30 p.m. Aug. 16. Someone with a BB gun shot an elderly man who was walking in front of the Montgomery County Regional Services Center.

HURST ST.,10000 block, 5:50 p.m. Aug. 16. An aggravated assault occurred between a landlord and tenant. A man, 50, was arrested.

ROBBERIES

SEVEN LOCKS RD. AND SCOTLAND DR.,12:30 a.m. to 1:40 a.m. Aug. 13. Nine males wearing white tank tops and with their faces covered knocked a male pedestrian, 17, to the ground and tried to rob him. The youth fought back, and the assailants fled empty-handed.

HEATHER HOLLOW CIR.,1500 block, 10:30 a.m. to 11:20 p.m. Aug. 14. A female was raped by a male acquaintance after an argument.

LOCKWOOD DR.,11200 block, 3:48 a.m. Aug. 16. A man, 19, raped a female acquaintance, 16, in an apartment complex's fitness center closet.

ASSAULTS

GEORGIA AVE.,7900 block, 3:12 a.m. Aug. 17. Three males, one armed with a razor, accosted and slashed a person in a parking lot. A relative came to the person's aid, and the assailants fled in a black Lincoln Navigator. The car was recovered in Prince George's County.

ROBBERIES

AVENEL RD. AND NORTHAMPTON DR.,9:20 p.m. Aug. 16. Six men near a bus stop accosted a male waiting for a bus and asked for cash. The male refused, and the assailants knocked him to the ground, took property and fled.

BRIGGS CHANEY RD.,3000 block, 5:25 a.m. Aug. 17. Two men in a gas station parking lot grabbed a female by the shoulder and slammed her to the ground. One of the assailants took her purse and other property, and both fled.

FEATHERWOOD DR.,12300 block, 12:20 a.m. Aug. 20. Seven males accosted a male pedestrian in a parking lot, struck him with a rock, knocked him to the ground and assaulted him. The assailants took property and fled. The property was recovered.

FENTON ST. AND WAYNE AVE.,9:40 p.m. Aug. 16. Three males accosted a male pedestrian, 49, assaulted him, knocked him to the ground, took property and fled.

LOCKWOOD DR.,11500 block, 1:45 a.m. Aug. 14. Two males accosted a male pedestrian in a parking lot and demanded cash. When the pedestrian said he had no cash, one of the assailants hit him with a handgun and searched his pockets. The assailants fled empty-handed.

MT. PISGAH RD.,2 p.m. Aug. 16. A man accosted a female in a parking lot at gunpoint and demanded her keys. She threw her keys and purse on the ground, and the assailant tried to enter the vehicle but pushed the panic alarm and fled. An Adelphi man, 19, with two loaded guns was arrested in the incident.

BLAKE RD.,12500 block, 7:30 a.m. to 8:15 p.m. Aug. 13. de Someone attempted to enter a residence's garage. Nothing was reported missing.

GEORGIA AVE.,13500 block, 9:30 p.m. Aug. 12. Two men ran up behind a male pedestrian, pushed him to the ground, took property and fled.

HEWITT AVE.,3000 block, Aug. 12. A male forcibly took property that he had previously given to a female acquaintance.

LAYHILL RD.,14300 block, 8:30 p.m. Aug. 14. Two men outside a convenience store accosted a person, grabbed a bag off the person's shoulder and fled.

FREDERICK AVE. S,300 block, 8 p.m. Aug. 14. A man on a bus threatened the bus driver at knifepoint. The driver pulled over, and the assailant was arrested nearby.

MONTGOMERY VILLAGE AVE.,1 to 100 block, 12:50 a.m. Aug. 18. Two men in a restaurant instigated a fight. Four men joined in and attacked two employees with knives.

FREDERICK AVE. S,500 block, 9 p.m. Aug. 17. Four masked men attacked three people near a park. The assailants threatened them with baseball bats, took property and fled.

GIRARD ST. AND GOSHEN RD.,7 p.m. Aug. 11. A male at the Shady Grove Metro bus stop followed a person onto the bus, got off when the person did, robbed him of property at knifepoint and fled.

RESEARCH BLVD.,1500 block, 9:30 p.m. Aug. 18 to 9 a.m. Aug. 19. A laptop computer was stolen from an office building entered through a rear door.

ROCK FALLS CT.,1 to 100 block, 4:30 p.m. Aug. 18 to 10:30 a.m. Aug. 19. Cash was stolen from a vehicle.

ROCKVILLE PIKE,1600 block, noon to 7:30 p.m. Aug. 24. A pair of shoes, a pair of jeans, a Social Security card and a driver's license were stolen from an unattended vehicle.

ROCKVILLE PIKE,1700 block, 4:25 to 4:40 p.m. Aug. 20. A camera was stolen from a store.

ROCKVILLE PIKE,1700 block, 5 p.m. Aug. 20 to 9 a.m. Aug. 21. Two laptops were stolen from a business.

SOUTHLAWN LANE,14600 block, 7:45 to 8 p.m. Aug. 18. A gate was stolen from a storage facility.

WASHINGTON ST. N,1 to 100 block, 3:30 p.m. Aug. 23 to 11 a.m. Aug. 24. A television was stolen from an office suite that someone entered by prying open a front door.

WASHINGTON ST. N,200 block, noon Aug. 16 to noon Aug. 23. Cash and two checks were stolen from a customer at a bank.

FIRST ST.,1000 block, 3:45 p.m. Aug. 24. Someone entered a school by climbing through an unlocked side window.

FIRST ST.,1300 block, 8:30 to 9 p.m. Aug. 21. Two cellphones were stolen from a residence.

ASSAULTS

ROANOKE AVE.,8200 block, 4 a.m. Aug. 23. A person entered an apartment and assaulted a resident and her daughter and then fled. A man was arrested in the incident.

ROBBERIES

UNIVERSITY BLVD.,1100 block, 2:05 to 2:15 p.m. Aug. 22. A man wearing an orange visor and an orange-and-white shirt asked a woman for a dollar. When the woman opened her purse, the man grabbed her cash and fled.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

CARROLL AVE.,7600 block, 2:30 to 3 p.m. Aug. 22. took another person's unattended property off a chair and fled.

EAST WEST HWY.,900 block, 3:30 to 3:41 a.m. Aug. 26. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE.,6300 block, Aug. 27. A man was arrested and charged with theft over $500, theft of a credit card, obtaining property exceeding $500 by using a stolen credit card, obtaining property exceeding $500 by false representation, unauthorized use of signature and identity fraud.

ROANOKE AVE.,8300 block, 5 to 5:10 a.m. Aug. 23. Someone attempted to enter a residence by force. Police say the matter is linked to a domestic dispute.

TAKOMA AVE.,7600 block, 11:39 a.m. to 4:05 p.m. Aug. 24. A business was entered by force. Nothing was reported missing.

UNIVERSITY BLVD.,1100 block, 10:30 to 10:40 a.m. Aug. 27. A female left a store without paying for merchandise.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

LOCKNEY AVE.,7800 block, 3 to 11:30 p.m. Aug. 26. A 2000 Mitsubishi Mirage was stolen. D.C. police recovered the car at 6:16 a.m. the next day.

WILDWOOD DR.,7400 block, 7 p.m. Aug. 21 to 3:30 a.m. Aug. 22. A 1997 Honda Accord was stolen.
