Good Timing
Giants WR Plaxico Burress signed a two-year contract extension hours before kickoff yesterday. Burress, who had three years left on the agreement he signed in 2005, is under contract through 2012, the Giants reported on their Web site.

The NFL Opening Kickoff extravaganza at Columbus Circle in New York City featured performances by Usher and Keith Urban. Past performers in other cities included Elton John, Carlos Santana, Green Day, Jessica Simpson, Yung Joc and Kanye West.
