Angels: Scratched Jered Weaver from his start tonight against the Yankees because of cuts on the middle and ring fingers of his right pitching hand. This will be the second straight missed start for Weaver, who cut his fingers on staples under the dugout bench at Detroit last week.

Indians: Recalled RHP Bryan Bullington from Class AAA Buffalo. Bullington will start one game of Saturday's day-night doubleheader against Kansas City.

Red Sox: Activated RF J.D. Drew from the 15-day disabled list. Drew had been sidelined since Aug. 18 (strained lower back).
