· Kanye West and a bodyguard were arrested at LAX yesterday morning after a fight in which the rapper allegedly busted a paparazzo's $10,000 camera. West then apparently went after a TMZ videorazzo, who immediately posted the images to the gossip Web site. Way to make a story happen! Police told reporters the two were booked on suspicion of felony vandalism.

· Engaged: Rep. Artur Davis (D-Ala.) to Tara Johnson, a staffer for the Alabama Forestry Commission, his reps tell our colleague Mary Ann Akers. After a year and a half of dating, the two will marry on New Year's Day, ending the 40-year-old's three terms as one of Congress' most eligible. Last year, he (jokingly?) hit on actress Kerry Washington during an Appropriations subcommittee hearing -- always a great place to meet someone.

· Born: A son to boxer/TV personality Laila Ali, 30, and her husband, retired NFL star Curtis Conway, 37, on Aug. 26, she announced on her Web site yesterday. Weighing in at 6.8 pounds, Curtis Muhammad Conway gets his middle name from grandpa Muhammad Ali.
