Orioles RHP Daniel Cabrera won't pitch again this season because of a strained elbow.

Cabrera, 8-10 with a 5.25 ERA, experienced pain and tingling in his elbow during a side session Wednesday and returned to Baltimore for tests. He underwent his second MRI exam in a month yesterday, revealing no damage.

"They put an old MRI side by side with the new MRI and there's nothing like that," Manager Dave Trembley said.

· RED SOX: Injured RHP Curt Schilling said former teammate Manny Ramírez's behavior in Boston was a drain on his teammates and disrespectful to Manager Terry Francona.

Speaking on a Boston radio station, Schilling said Ramírez's "level of disrespect to teammates and people was unfathomable."

Schilling, who is close friends with Francona, said the manager had to play Ramírez because of his talent but that it undermined the team's unity.

· TIGERS: Manager Jim Leyland was suspended for three games.

Major League Baseball announced the suspension yesterday, citing "inappropriate conduct" by Leyland during Monday and Tuesday road games against the Rangers.

Leyland was ejected in the sixth inning of Monday's game. He shouted at the umpires Tuesday after a loss.
