· Pay for four nights at an Appalachian Mountain Club lodge or hut in New Hampshire or Maine this fall and get the fifth night free. Or receive a 10 percent discount on a three-night stay. Five nights at the Joe Dodge Lodge at Pinkham Notch in New Hampshire's White Mountains, for example, is $54 per person per night after discount (plus 8 percent taxes); rate includes breakfast and dinner. · MSC Cruises has discounted rates on several Caribbean cruises aboard the MSC Orchestra departing Fort Lauderdale, Fla., in January and March. Price starts at $549 per adult double for a seven-night cruise; kids 17 and younger sharing their parents' cabin go free. Price for a family of four, including taxes and fuel surcharge, starts at $1,376. Savings vary by cruise; pre-discounted fares started at $1,105 per person double. The China Pass, which can be used for at least three and no more than nine flights, offers a 40 to 45 percent discount over regular fares. For example, cost is $905, including taxes, during high season (Jan. 11-Feb. 10, April 1-30 and July 1-Oct. 31) for a China Pass trip from Beijing to Shanghai to Guangzhou to Lhasa to Chong Qing to Urmuqi to Beijing; priced separately, fare would be $1,580.
