· A Sept. 20 Page One article misstated the first name of James B. Lockhart III, the head of the Federal Housing Finance Agency.

· A Sept. 10 Style article about the closing of the Grog and Tankard incorrectly said that Underwater City People, Jon Rustad's current band, played at

the Northwest Washington club. It was Iceboxers, Rustad's former band, that played there.

· A Sept. 7 Style & Arts article about contemporary opera incorrectly said that filmmaker Peter Greenaway, 66, is dead.
