CAPITOL HILL

Truckers Come Together to Protest Fuel Prices

A small group of truckers drove their rigs to Capitol Hill yesterday for a horn-honking rally to protest soaring prices at the pump.

More than a dozen members of Truckers and Citizens United drove their tractor-trailers from FedEx Field to Capitol Hill for the rally. Organizers had predicted that 200 would show up. They said fuel prices affected turnout.

About 100 protesters held a similar rally on Capitol Hill in April.
