SEVEN LOCKS RD.,8900 block, Sept. 4. The body of Mary F. Havenstein, 63, was found in her home. The cause of death was not released. The victim's 2006 Cadillac was stolen. It was recovered near Forston Street and University Boulevard in Takoma Park.

LOCKWOOD DR.,11500 block, 10:50 p.m. Sept. 4. A 23-year-old man cut a man with a knife during an argument in a home. He fled on foot.

CHERRY HILL RD.,11400 block, 9:04 p.m. Sept. 8. During an attempted robbery in a parking lot, a male punched a male and implied that he had a weapon. Nothing was taken. The assailant fled in a maroon minivan with three accomplices.

GEORGIA AND SLIGO AVENUES,1:45 a.m. Sept. 4. Two men robbed a male pedestrian at gunpoint.

JULY DR.,11400 block, 10:38 p.m. Sept. 9. A gunman in a parking lot robbed a male of two cellphones. The victim told police he had gone to the lot to buy a phone from a seller he had found on the Internet.

STEWART LANE,11500 block, 10:35 a.m. Sept. 6. A gunman and a female in a parking lot assaulted a woman, pushed her to the ground and fled on foot with her purse.

MAPLEVIEW DR. AND NEWPORT MILL RD.,12:30 a.m. Sept. 7. A man riding a moped stopped near a juvenile female pedestrian. He got off the moped, grabbed her and displayed a knife. She fought him off and ran away. The assailant fled on the moped.

ROBBERIES

BUEHLER RD.,17700 block, 8 p.m. Sept. 6. Two male teenagers threatened a pedestrian with a belt and demanded cash. They fled when the victim called 911 on a cellphone.

TOWN CENTER RD.,18100 block, 1:10 p.m. Sept. 7. Two males armed with a BB gun robbed a boy of property. A relative of the boy recovered the property. Two 16-year-old males were arrested.

GEORGIA AVE.,12500 block, 3:40 a.m. Sept. 7. Four people robbed a motorist of his vehicle at gunpoint. A man, a woman and two juveniles were arrested.

GEORGIA AVE.,14300 block, 12:45 a.m. Sept. 6. Two males came out from behind bushes and robbed six people leaving a party of cash at gunpoint.

COROTHERS LANE,800 block, 8:30 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. Sept. 7. Cash, a backpack, a messenger bag, a wallet, diapers and medicine were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

EDMONSTON DR. W.,300 block, 2 to 4 a.m. Sept. 8. Credit cards and cash were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

MAPLE AVE.,7500 block, 10 p.m. Sept. 16. A man with a weapon assaulted a woman entering her residence and robbed her of property. The assailant left a toy machine gun at the scene.

CARROLL AVE.,7100 block, 12:02 p.m. Sept. 15. A male removed a campaign sign from a fence and rode away on a bicycle. Police said numerous campaign signs had been stolen from the neighborhood during the previous two weeks.

FLOWER AVE.,8200 block, 8 to 11 a.m. Sept. 15. An attempt was made to enter a residence.

KENNEWICK AVE.,7800 block, 10 a.m. to 4:20 p.m. Sept. 16. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.
