What: The public is invited to attend a free scrimmage Friday at 5 p.m. Training camp practices begin today but are not open to the public.
Where: Siegel Center at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond.
Directions: If traveling on Interstate 95 South/I-64 East (I-95 and I-64 merge), take Exit 76B for Belvidere Street. Turn left off exit ramp onto Leigh Street. Go to first traffic light, turn right onto Belvidere Street. At the third traffic light, turn right onto Broad Street. Siegel Center is on the right after the third traffic light.
What to Expect: The team will be split into two squads, and several players will battle for playing time as Coach Eddie Jordan looks to define roles and establish his rotation. This will be fans' first chance to see newcomers Dee Brown and JaVale McGee, and to get reacquainted with Juan Dixon.
