It takes a moment to make out the demon peering from the curls of cigarette smoke. Then, if you read Spanish, you take in the grim text: You sold him your soul in exchange for ammonia, urea, carbon dioxide, arsenic, lead . . . Quit making excuses. Quit smoking. The ad is part of a new anti-smoking campaign targeted at Washington Latinos. A parallel English-language campaign aimed at African Americans has a strikingly different tone. Full story, Page F2.
