PEEPING TOM INCIDENT

LENMORE AVE.,700 block, 10:15 p.m. Sept. 13. A man standing outside a residence was seen peering into the bedroom window of two female children. The man is an acquaintance of the family. A man, 35, of no fixed address was arrested nearby in the incident.

ASSAULTS

CHARLES RD.,12000 block, 10:15 p.m. Sept. 12. A man accosted a male pedestrian, cut him with a small knife and fled.

ROBBERIES

DEWEY AND DAHILL ROADS,1 a.m. Sept. 13. Four males in a vehicle stopped beside a male pedestrian and demanded cash. One of the passengers struck the pedestrian on the head with a bottle, but the pedestrian fled.

BRICE RD.,1000 block, 2 to 4 a.m. Sept. 8. Property was stolen from a vehicle.

BUCKSPARK CT.,1 to 100 block, Sept. 11 to Sept. 12. A Global Positioning System device was stolen from a vehicle entered through an unlocked door.

ROCKVILLE PIKE,1000 block, 11:48 a.m. Sept. 10. A male entered a residence but was interrupted and fled when the resident returned home and found the person in the living room. A Silver Spring male, 17, was arrested in the incident.

ROCKVILLE PIKE,12000 block, 5 to 5:15 p.m. Sept. 12. A man in a grocery store wearing a blue suit bumped into an elderly male customer's shopping cart, claiming his shoelace was caught. The customer bent over to help him, and the assailant walked away rapidly after taking personal property.

SADDLE RIDGE RD.,300 block, 8:30 p.m. Sept. 13 to 7 p.m. Sept. 14. A vehicle was entered by breaking a window. Nothing was reported missing.

ASSAULTS

EDSON LANE,5500 block, 8 a.m. Sept. 16. A domestic aggravated assault occurred. A Rockville man, 71, was arrested in the incident.

WISCONSIN AND WESTERN AVENUES,8:30 p.m. Sept. 9. A male employer and a female employee got into a physical altercation while driving.

ROBBERIES

CLOISTER DR.,4900 block, 2:30 p.m. Sept. 9. A male on a bicycle asked to borrow a cellphone from two pedestrians walking from a bus stop. When the pedestrians acted as if they did not have a phone, the bicyclist grabbed the arm of one of them, reached into his pocket and took a cellphone. The assailant pulled out a knife and told the pedestrians to keep walking. A Rockville male, 16, was arrested in the incident.

MUIRFIELD CT.,7800 block, 8:45 p.m. Sept. 14. A man outside an apartment building grabbed the wrist of a female, took property and fled.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

ARLINGTON RD.,6900 block, 8 p.m. Sept. 12 to 3:30 a.m. Sept. 13. Property was stolen from a business entered by force.

CALVERT PL.,3900 block, 1:45 a.m. Sept. 14. A vehicle was entered. Three people were seen running from the area. Police found the suspects hiding behind vehicles in the 9500 block of Barroll Lane. A Silver Spring man, 25, was arrested in the incident.

CEDAR LANE AND CHANUTE DR.,3:45 a.m. Sept. 13. Two males accosted a male pedestrian on his way home, pointed a handgun at him, threatened to shoot and then fled.

DEMOCRACY BLVD.,7100 block, 9 a.m. to 8:50 p.m. Sept. 9. Property, including Global Positioning System devices and other items, was stolen from vehicles in a shopping center lot. The vehicles were entered by breaking the windows.

HAMPDEN LANE,8200 block, Sept. 8. A District man, 45, was arrested on charges of entering two vehicles.

HUNTINGTON PARKWAY AND OAKMONT AVENUE AREA, Sept. 9 to Sept. 14. Property was stolen from 12 unlocked vehicles.

KING CHARLES WAY, Sept. 8 to Sept. 9. Property, including Global Positioning System devices and other items, was stolen from vehicles in residential lots. The vehicles were entered by breaking the windows.

KENILWORTH AVE.,11300 block, 2 p.m. Sept. 12. Two males entered a residence by force, took property and fled in a gold Toyota Sienna minivan.

STANHOPE RD. W.,1 to 8 a.m. Sept. 14. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

16TH ST.,8500 block, midnight Sept. 10. A male accosted a woman who was sitting outside an apartment building, grabbed her bag and fled.

SEXUAL ASSAULT

PINEY BRANCH RD.,9300 block, 7 a.m. Sept. 13. A man knocked on the door of a residence and asked a female resident who answered whether her husband was at home. When she said no, the assailant forced his way into the apartment, touched her inappropriately and tried to sexually assault her but was interrupted when the woman's husband came out from another room.

COLUMBIA BLVD.,9200 block, 11:35 p.m. Sept. 10. A man raped a female acquaintance in a parking lot.

INDECENT EXPOSURE

COLESVILLE RD.,8400 block, 1 p.m. Sept. 9. A man at a Metro station approached a female waiting for a bus, exposed himself and threatened her with a knife. The female ran away.

ASSAULTS

EAST WEST HWY.,1400 block, 2:52 a.m. Sept. 12. Four men outside a printing business argued with a man, stabbed him with a knife and fled in a waiting vehicle. Police stopped the vehicle, and one person was arrested in the incident.

LOCKWOOD DR.,11600 block, 4:15 a.m. Sept. 14. A man threatened a female acquaintance with a knife.

RUATAN ST.,100 block, 9:35 p.m. Sept. 10. A man threatened a female acquaintance with a knife. Police arrested a male in the incident.

CARJACKING

SCARLET SAGE AND RED CEDAR DRIVES,8:24 p.m. Sept. 15. Three male pedestrians with handguns accosted three males sitting in a car and ordered them to get out of the car. The assailants demanded that the males empty their pockets, forced them to a wooded area and fled in the 2000 Toyota Avalon.

CAMERON STREET AND SECOND AVENUE,8:05 p.m. Sept. 9. Two females and a male accosted a male pedestrian, demanded his wallet and assaulted him. The man escaped.

COLERIDGE DR.,2100 block, 10:45 p.m. Sept. 13. Two males in a vehicle approached a female pedestrian, pointed a gun at her and demanded property. The woman complied, and the assailants fled in a four-door black vehicle.

GEORGIA AVE.,8200 block, 2:30 a.m. Sept. 13. Two males accosted a man, assaulted him, took property and fled.

OLIVE BRANCH DR.,3400 block, 1:18 a.m. Sept. 14. Two masked males accosted at gunpoint two females getting out of their car and demanded a purse and a wallet. The females complied, and the assailants fled in a white vehicle.

SLIGO AVE.,600 block, 6:58 p.m. Sept. 13. Five males assaulted a person, took property and fled in a waiting black Ford Expedition.

UNIVERSITY BOULEVARD AND BUCKINGHAM DRIVE,8:30 p.m. Sept. 10. A man accosted a male pedestrian at gunpoint and ordered him to surrender cash or be shot. The pedestrian complied, and the assailant fled.

11TH AVE.,8500 block, 9:15 p.m. Sept. 15. Three males accosted a man, chased him when he tried to flee, knocked him to the ground, assaulted him, took cash from his pocket and fled.

BADEN ST.,200 block, 9:45 a.m. Sept. 10. Cash, electronic equipment, camera equipment, a Global Positioning System device, a DVD player, jewelry, video games and medication were stolen from a vehicle.

BUCKNELL DR.,10900 block, 3:37 p.m. Sept. 10. A security officer at an electronics stores was threatened with a syringe when the officer tried to apprehend someone for shoplifting.

ROBBERIES

GEORGIA AND HEWITT AVENUES,8:45 p.m. Sept. 12. Two men near an apartment complex accosted a male pedestrian walking from a bus stop. When the pedestrian entered the complex, the assailants struck him on the head with a handgun, took property and fled.

INWOOD AVE.,10900 block, 7 p.m. Sept. 11. Six males behind an elementary school assaulted and robbed a boy, 12, of property and fled.

OLNEY-SANDY SPRING RD.,5:17 p.m. Sept. 15. Two males accosted a male pedestrian and demanded cash. The pedestrian resisted, and the assailants punched the man in the head and knocked him down, took property and fled.

VEIRS MILL RD.,11100 block, 3:35 p.m. Sept. 8. Two males in a parking lot approached a person and demanded cash. Two Prince George's County men, 19 and 21, were arrested in the incident.

VEIRS MILL ROAD AND RANDOLPH STREET,3:28 a.m. Sept. 14. Two males in a parking lot accosted a man and tried to rob him of property. A struggle ensued. The man was cut, and the robbers fled.

WHEATON AREA,8:25 a.m. Sept. 13. A man traveling on a Metro train between Silver Spring and Wheaton placed a male rider in a chokehold and took his property. A Prince George's County man, 22, was arrested at the Glenmont Metro station in the incident.

CARROLLTON RD.,14800 block, 3:35 a.m. Sept. 15. A backpack and boots were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

GEORGIA AVE.,11500 block, 5:20 p.m. Sept. 9. The office of the Maryland comptroller was entered by force. Property was stolen, but no documents were reported missing.

WESTBURY RD.,14800 block, 11:30 p.m. Sept. 10 to 6:30 a.m. Sept. 11. An attempt was made to enter a car by prying open a door. Nothing was reported missing.

SEXUAL ASSAULT

FREDERICK RD.,20900 block, 7 p.m. Sept. 13. An off-duty police officer observed a man driving a maroon 1999 Chevy Ventura minivan through a shopping center parking lot several times. Police located the van and found a naked man inside. A Montgomery Village man, 54, was arrested in the incident.

RAPE

BETHESDA CHURCH RD.,9800 block, 3 to 11:43 a.m. Sept. 13. A female reported she was raped by an acquaintance.

ASSAULTS

WEATHERBURN PL.,11100 block, 7:15 p.m. Sept. 11. An aggravated assault occurred between acquaintances as a result of a dispute over parking. A Germantown man, 34, was arrested in the incident.

ROBBERIES

APPLEGRATH WAY AND BRANDERMILL DRIVE,12:40 p.m. Sept. 14. A man got out of a Ford Mustang, accosted a female pedestrian, grabbed her purse and drove off.

DUHART ROAD AND PERRONE DRIVE,10:40 p.m. Sept. 12. Two males on a Metrobus followed a male rider off the bus at Germantown Road. Two other males approached, and the four circled the other male. One of the assailants yelled, "Chinese," and the four assailants hit the male, took property and fled.

METZ DRIVE AND OPEN HEARTH WAY,1:30 a.m. Sept. 13. Four males accosted a male pedestrian who is deaf, surrounded him, hit him in the face, took his wallet and fled.

AFTERNOON WAY,20500 block, Sept. 14 to Sept. 15. CDs and a radar detector were stolen from a vehicle.

BROOKMEAD DR.,14400 block, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 8. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

COPPER RIDGE RD.,13300 block, 9 a.m. to 3:42 p.m. Sept. 8. A male entered a residence by force but fled empty-handed. A Germantown male, 15, was arrested in the incident.

SCOTTSBURY DR.,20800 block, 3 a.m. Sept. 13. A man was seen trying to enter a residence by force but was interrupted and fled when he was seen. Tools were found missing from a work van parked in the driveway.

SHADYSIDE WAY,20500 and 20600 block, Sept. 14 to Sept. 15. A digital music player and cash were stolen from two vehicles. One of the vehicles was entered by breaking a door handle.

SUMMERSONG LANE,20500 block, Sept. 14 to Sept. 15. A Global Positioning System device was stolen from a vehicle.

WOODRUFF COURT, Sept. 8 to Sept. 9. Property, including electronics, Global Positioning System devices units, portable DVD players and cameras, was stolen from six vehicles.

SEXUAL ASSAULT

DIAMOND AVE. E.,200 block, 8:45 a.m. Sept. 11. A male employee at a drug store sexually assaulted a female who was inquiring about employment.

ASSAULTS

CLOPPER RD.,900 block, 9:55 p.m. Sept. 9. A resident came out of his apartment to quiet youths who were creating a disturbance. The resident was attacked with a pipe by at least one assailant, knocked to the ground and kicked. A 16-year-old boy was arrested in the incident.

QUEEN VICTORIA CT.,17100 block, 7 p.m. Sept. 10. A woman stabbed a woman during a dispute among several neighbors. A woman, 23, was arrested in the incident.

SUMMIT HALL RD.,200 block, 5 p.m. Sept. 13. An aggravated assault occurred. A male, 17, was found on a driveway with dozens of stab wounds. One person has been arrested in the incident.

ROBBERIES

CLOPPER RD.,900 block, 8:25 p.m. Sept. 15. Three men accosted a woman getting out of her car in a parking lot and demanded her purse. As she turned, one of the robbers punched her, grabbed the purse and fled.

SUMMIT AVE. N.,400 block, Sept. 14. Three men accosted a male at gunpoint, took cash and fled.

BOYSENBERRY DR.,18500 block, Sept. 15. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

COLLETTE WAY,9400 block, 6:45 a.m. Sept. 11. A man was seen stealing a purse from an unlocked vehicle.

RUSSELL AVE.,800 block, 4:25 p.m. Sept. 14. A female stole a purse from an open vehicle as a woman was loading groceries into the car. The female was seen getting into a white van.

SHADY GROVE RD.,15200 block, 4 p.m. Sept. 12 to 11:33 a.m. Sept. 14. Property was stolen from a delicatessen entered by force.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

SHARPSTEAD LANE AND GOLD KETTLE DR., 11 p.m. Sept. 11 to 8:30 a.m. Sept. 12. Ignitions were damaged on two Honda Accords in an attempt to steal the vehicles.
