Highlights
Presidential debate, Part 2, is in Nashville, and anchors from the broadcast and cable channels join Sens. John McCain and Barack Obama, as well as moderator Tom Brokaw. The event airs at 9 p.m. on Channels 4, 5, 7, 9, 22, 26, Fox News Channel, CNN, C-SPAN, MSNBC, Fox Business Network, CNBC, CN8 and BBC America -- Telemundo has the Spanish translation. Here are a few options for pre- and post-analysis:
At 7 a.m., Harry Smith anchors "The Early Show" (Channel 9); 4 p.m., "The Situation Room" (CNN); 7:30 p.m., "Presidential Debate Preview" (C-SPAN); 8 p.m., "The O'Reilly Factor" (Fox News Channel) and "Campbell Brown: Election Center" (CNN).
At 10:30 p.m., "ABC News Vote '08" (Channel 7) has Charles Gibson, Diane Sawyer and George Stephanopoulos; Neil Cavuto is on Fox Business Network; "Anderson Cooper 360" (CNN) offers a special edition; Lynn Doyle (CN8) leads a panel discussion; "NewsHour" (Channels 22, 26) features Mark Shields and David Brooks; "NBC News Special" (Channel 4) offers commentary.
At 11 p.m., Keith Olbermann hosts "Countdown" (MSNBC); 11:15 p.m. brings "Hannity & Colmes" (Fox News Channel), followed at midnight by "On the Record With Greta Van Susteren" (FNC) and Chris Matthews with "Hardball" (MSNBC).
"Nova: Arctic Dinosaurs" (Channel 26 at 8) sends scientists to Alaska to find out how dinos weathered the freezing cold 65 million years ago.
Harry's ex refuses to let him go without a fight and hires a private detective to track down the child they gave up for adoption on "90210" (Channel 50 at 8).
Cappie and Rebecca, still in the uncomfortable post-breakup stage, find themselves alone in the ZBZ house on "Greek" (ABC Family at 9).
"Man Caves" (DIY at 9) turns an ordinary space into a sports fan's fantasy on the second-season premiere of the home-makeover show, hosted by former NFL star Tony "Goose" Siragusa.
Where Lauren Conrad goes, drama follows: On "Privileged" (Channel 50 at 9), Megan chaperones the twins' out-of-control pool party, with "The Hills" star as a guest.
"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" (Bravo at 9) travels south for this installment in the series, and it's showdown time when one of the ladies turns up uninvited to Sheree's birthday party.
As if sleepwalking naked isn't horrifying enough for one unlucky man, he wakes up to find he's covered in someone else's blood on "The Shield" (FX at 10).
"Whose Wedding Is It Anyway?" (Style at 10) starts its eighth season on the 50-yard line, where a football player and his fiancee get hitched.
"The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" (Channel 4, 11:35) has comedian Jim Norton and a performance by James Taylor.
Actress Debra Messing, Aliança da Terra founder-director John Carter and musical guest Tegan and Sara are on "Late Show With David Letterman" (Channel 9, 11:35).
"Late Night With Conan O'Brien" (Channel 4, 12:35) hosts actor Russell Crowe and singer Alicia Keys. Death Cab for Cutie performs.
