· An Oct. 14 Business article incorrectly described cutbacks at General Motors as affecting three plants, including one in the state of Wyoming. Two plants are affected, including a metal-stamping plant that is being closed in the town of Wyoming, Mich.

· An Oct. 10 Weekend review of "The Pool" incorrectly described "American Job," a previous film by director Chris Smith. It was a fiction film, not a documentary.

· A Sept. 28 Outlook article on abortion incorrectly described the U.S. Supreme Court as upholding, in 1792, a Virginia state prosecution of a horse-stealing incident that had taken place in the District of Columbia. It was the Virginia Supreme Court, not the U.S. Supreme Court, that handed down that decision.

CLARIFICATION

· A statement in the early edition of the Oct. 14 Sports section referring to Johnny Rockets and Dick Clark Productions was intended to identify them as other business interests of Washington Redskins owner Daniel Snyder, not as businesses with any troubles.
