Assistant coach Jim Mora said he's not interested in the University of Washington coaching position.
Mora is a former Washington player who began his coaching career there as a graduate assistant under Don James in 1984. He has already signed a contract to succeed Holmgren as Seahawks coach beginning in 2009. The deal is believed to be worth almost $5 million annually.
Washington (0-7), one of two winless teams in major college football, fired Coach Tyrone Willingham on Monday effective at the end of this season for being 11-32 in three-plus seasons.
· PACKERS: QB Aaron Rodgers signed a contract extension through 2014. The team announced the deal after practice yesterday, when the first-year starter signed the paperwork.
"It means a lot," he said. "I'm very excited knowing that my future is going to be here in Green Bay."
A former standout at California, Rodgers was the Packers' first-round pick in 2005. He then spent three years as the backup to Brett Favre.
· BILLS: Buffalo will be without three starters when they host the Jets tomorrow.
WR Josh Reed, DE Aaron Schobel and G Brad Butler are all out with injuries (5-2).
Reed hurt his right ankle and Achilles' tendon in the loss at Miami this past weekend. He is second on the team with 26 catches and 288 yards. Roscoe Parrish and rookie James Hardy probably will share duties replacing Reed.
Butler sprained his left knee in the first half of Buffalo's win over San Diego two weeks ago. Schobel injured a ligament and bone in his left foot against Arizona on Oct. 5.
