First-Time Fashion
After wearing all white for their first four home games, the Redskins stepped onto the field wearing burgundy jerseys and burgundy pants. It was the first burgundy-on-burgundy combination in franchise history, according to a team spokesman.

Games, including preseason, Washington has played before its bye week. That's the most of any team in the league before its off week. Washington has played nine regular season games and five preseason games, including the Hall of Fame Game on Aug. 3.
Catching Up
Washington WR Antwaan Randle El shared a few laughs on the field before the game with Pittsburgh QB Ben Roethlisberger, his former teammate. Randle El played four seasons with the Steelers and threw a 43-yard touchdown to Hines Ward in Super Bowl XL during a 21-10 victory over Seattle.
