TOPPING RD.,4700 block, 9:25 p.m. Oct. 17. A male assaulted a male youth.

ASSAULTS

GREAT FALLS RD.,, 600 block, 6:26 p.m. Oct. 21. A person in a vehicle wearing a badge and carrying a gun tried to pull over a male driver on Route 270. The driver pulled into a school parking lot at the above location, and the assailant fled in the direction of Falls Road in a gray Dodge Intrepid with Maryland tags.

ROBBERIES

GLEN RD. S.,11400 block, 9:05 p.m. Oct. 20. A male went to meet a man at the bottom of a driveway. The male asked whether the man had change for a $100 bill, grabbed the man and said he had a gun. The assailant took the cash and fled in a white Chevrolet Cavalier driven by a male.

MONROE ST.,700 block, 9:05 p.m. Oct. 16. Two male youths accosted a male who had just made a pizza delivery. One youth threatened the deliveryman with a knife and demanded cash. The deliveryman said he had no cash and hit one of the youths. Both youths fled on foot.

VEIRS MILL RD.,12600 block, 11 a.m. Oct. 16. A male followed a woman from an apartment building hallway to her apartment. When she entered her home and tried to lock the door, the male kicked it open and cut her with a knife. He fled and was later suspected of being involved in a robbery on Hewitt Avenue. A male was arrested in connection with both incidents.

ARDENNES AVE.,12500 block, 2:40 to 3:15 p.m. Oct. 19. Property was stolen from a construction site entered by force. Police identified a suspect.

BROADWOOD DR.,300 block, 11:59 p.m. Oct. 15 to 6:30 a.m. Oct. 16. An airbag was stolen from a 2006 Honda S2000.

GUDE DR. E.,500 block, 5 p.m. Oct. 16 to 7:15 a.m. Oct. 17. Change was stolen from a vehicle entered by force at a transmissions business.

GUDE DR. E.,500 block, 6 p.m. Oct. 16 to 5 p.m. Oct. 17. A vehicle at a transmissions business was entered by force and searched. Nothing was reported missing.

LONG PINE TRAIL,11100 block, noon Oct. 18 to noon Oct. 19. Property was stolen from a residence's garage.

MOCCASIN LANE,7600 block, 8:57 p.m. Oct. 15. A residential burglary occurred, but nothing was reported missing.

PARK LAWN TERR.,5100 block, 6:38 p.m. Oct. 21. Property was stolen from a residence.

PARK POTOMAC AVE.,12500 block, 2 p.m. Oct. 15 to 6 a.m. Oct. 16. Aluminum and copper wiring were stolen from a construction site.

PARKLAWN DR.,12300 block, 11:26 to 11:39 a.m. Oct. 18. Two people entered an auto body shop through a hole in a rear fence and took three wheel rims and a radiator. The assailants fled in a white pickup with a dark cab.

PRETTYMAN DR.,300 block, 7:30 p.m. Oct. 16 to 8:20 a.m. Oct. 17. A Global Positioning System device was stolen from a vehicle that someone entered by breaking a window.

RESEARCH BLVD.,2500 block, 7 p.m. Oct. 16 to 11:20 p.m. Oct. 17. A Global Positioning System device was stolen from a vehicle in a hotel parking lot.

ROCKVILLE PIKE,1800 block, 2:30 to 5 p.m. Oct. 14. A female in a furniture store parking lot approached a woman putting her child in a car seat and asked for directions. When the woman turned back to her car, her purse was gone. It was unknown whether the female or a second person took the victim's purse.

ROCKVILLE PIKE,12000 block, 8:05 p.m. Oct. 13. A driver in a grocery store parking lot pulled up to a woman loading groceries into her car and asked for directions. The woman gave directions, and when the vehicle pulled away, the woman noticed her vehicle door was open and her purse was missing. The assailants are described as a woman with long, dark hair; a man with a tattoo on his neck of an unknown symbol; and a man with a gold tooth who was wearing a white baseball cap.

TRAVILLE GATEWAY DR.,9600 block, 7 p.m. Oct. 16 to 8:15 a.m. Oct. 17. Clothing and a laptop were stolen from a vehicle.

TWINBROOK PKWY.,500 block, 11:40 to 11:50 a.m. Oct. 15. A leaf blower was stolen from an open truck bed.

VEIRS MILL RD. AND TWINBROOK PKWY.,10 a.m. Oct. 15. A male driver pulled his vehicle alongside a girl walking to school and offered her a ride. When she refused, the man drove around the block and asked her again. When she refused again, he blew her kisses and drove off in a small, tan four-door vehicle.

VILLAGE SQUARE TERR.,12200 block, 3 to 5 p.m. Oct. 15. Property was stolen from a residence.

WESTMORE RD.,7400 block, 6 p.m. Oct. 13 to 8 a.m. Oct. 14. Several CDs and a stereo were stolen from a vehicle that someone entered by breaking a window.

WESTMORE RD.,7400 block, 6 p.m. Oct. 16 to 7:30 a.m. Oct. 17. A person at an auto collision center broke a rear window of a vehicle, took a jacket and hand tools and fled.

WOODBURN RD.,500 block, 11 a.m. to noon Oct. 15. A leaf blower and a weed trimmer were stolen from an open truck bed.

YELLOWSTONE WAY,7700 block, 8:11 p.m. Oct. 15. A male entered a residence but fled when a resident yelled. Nothing was reported missing.

AVON DR.,5900 block, 9 a.m. Oct. 15. A male was seen kneeling behind a tree looking in a female's window. The man fled in a red Toyota Tacoma when he was spotted.

MONTROSE RD.,10400 block, 10:30 p.m. Oct. 22. A female saw a male looking in a window at her. She banged on the window, and he ran away.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BRADLEY LANE,3500 block, Oct. 14 to Oct. 15. Two bicycles were stolen from a residence's garage.

BRIERLY RD.,8800 block, Oct. 13 to Oct. 14. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

CARROLL AVE.,8700 block, 3:30 a.m. Oct. 20. A man entered a residence by force, took property and fled.

CHESTNUT AVE.,4300 block, 12:30 p.m. Oct. 20. Two males were discovered in a residence when a resident returned home. Police recovered stolen property and arrested two male youths.

DEMOCRACY BLVD.,7100 block, 12:45 p.m. Oct. 13 to Oct. 17. Property including Global Positioning System devices, cellphones and purses was stolen from vehicles entered by force in a shopping mall parking lot. A man was seen in the lot Oct. 15 breaking a vehicle's window, reaching in and taking a Global Positioning System device. When someone called out, the man dropped the stolen property and fled.

GARLAND AVE.,8800 block, 1:57 p.m. Oct. 15. Two men with tattoos on their arms were fleeing a residence when the homeowner came home. One of the men threatened her, tried to take personal property and knocked her to the ground. Both assailants fled on foot.

GEREN RD.,8700 block, 8:45 a.m. Oct. 15 to 1 a.m. Oct. 16. Two related residential burglaries occurred. In the first incident, an attempt was made to enter a residence. In the second, a residence was entered by force, and property was stolen.

GROSVENOR PL.,10100 block, Oct. 14 to Oct. 20. Property including satellite radio systems, Global Positioning System devices and other electronics was stolen from an unidentified number of vehicles entered by force.

HAMPDEN LANE,4900 block, Oct. 16 to Oct. 17. Property was stolen from a dry-cleaning business entered by force.

LAWRENCE AVE.,3800 block, 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 15. Property was stolen from a residence.

MARINELLI RD.,5400 block, 2 a.m. Oct. 16. A person entered a vehicle but fled when confronted.

RICKOVER RD.,4000 block, 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 15. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

ROSS RD.,2600 block, 8 p.m. Oct. 15. Property was stolen from a residence by an acquaintance of the homeowner's.

Electronics and other property was stolen from an unidentified number of vehicles entered by breaking windows and shimming doors.

NORTHAMPTON DR.,800 block, 1 a.m. Oct. 18. A man at a party stabbed a person with a knife and fled.

ROBBERIES

DECEMBER WAY,11400 block, 11:52 p.m. Oct. 17. Two men accosted a male pedestrian at knifepoint and demanded cash. The pedestrian escaped uninjured.

DEXTER AVE.,2100 block, 3:05 p.m. Oct. 14. A man with tattoos on his cheek and arms exited a vehicle, punched a person, took property and fled in a dark four-door Ford Crown Victoria.

LOCKWOOD DR.,11300 block, 3:14 a.m. Oct. 18 A man entered a convenience store, took cash and a cellphone and fled on foot.

PINEY BRANCH RD.,9000 block, 2 to 2:34 p.m. Oct. 17. Two men accosted a person, demanded cash, got it and fled.

ROBEY AND GREENCASTLE ROADS, midnight Oct. 15. Three males accosted a female pedestrian and demanded cash. When she said she had none, one of the assailants punched her and took property. The assailants fled on foot.

UNIVERSITY BLVD.,100 block, 10:24 p.m. Oct. 17. A man robbed a person using an ATM at gunpoint, took cash and fled.

UNIVERSITY BLVD.,700 block, 2:56 p.m. Oct. 16. A male with a bat and a male riding a skateboard accosted a man. One of the males demanded cash, swung the bat toward the man and took property. The assailants fled. The male youth armed with the bat was arrested and charged in the incident.

BALLET WAY,3900 block, 8:30 p.m. Oct. 18 to 2:50 a.m. Oct. 19. An attempt to enter two residences by force was made.

BALMORAL DR.,900 block, 7:30 p.m. Oct. 15 to 8:30 a.m. Oct. 16. Cash was stolen from a vehicle.

BRADDOCK RD.,9600 block, 11:40 a.m. Oct. 18 to noon Oct.19. A computer, software, a digital music player with car adaptor and house keys were stolen from a residence entered through an open window.

GEORGIA AVE.,12400 block, 2:19 a.m. Oct. 19. A male waved a person over to a window of a building and exposed himself.

SHERATON ST. AND JUDSON RD.,10:57 a.m. Oct. 16. A man accosted a female pedestrian and exposed himself to her. A man, 44, was arrested in connection with the incident.

BEAVERWOOD LANE,3200 block, 7:30 p.m. Oct. 18. A male youth attacked a person at an elementary school and took property.

BEL PRE RD.,3900 block, 11:55 p.m. Oct. 20. An unidentified number of males armed with handguns attacked three males. One of the robbers discharged a round from a gun and struck one of the males. They took property and fled.

ENGLISH ORCHARD CT.,12600 block, 2:30 p.m. Oct. 14. Two males accosted a male, took his jacket and fled toward Randolph Road.

GRANDVIEW AND ARCOLA AVENUES,5:11 p.m. Oct. 14. A man accosted a female pedestrian, demanded cash and groped her, then fled empty-handed toward Georgia Avenue.

HEWITT AVE.,3200 block, 11:20 p.m. Oct. 16. A man attacked a woman, took her purse and fled. A man, 20, was arrested.

MIDLAND RD. AND NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE.,8:45 p.m. Oct. 16. A man struck a male and demanded his jacket. The male complied, and the robber fled.

WHISPERING PINES CT.,14100 block, 12:35 a.m. Oct. 21. A masked man pointed a gun at a person and fled in a black Cadillac.

ASSAULTS

BUBBLING SPRING RD.,14600 block, 7:39 a.m. Oct. 18. A man came home and went into his bedroom, where he found a male friend of his wife's sleeping. The resident beat the man in the head with a cylindrical object and then drove him to a hospital, where he told staff members he had found the man on the side of the road. A man, 34, was arrested.

GIRARD ST. AND LARKSPUR WAY, Oct. 19. Three males attacked a security officer near a clubhouse after the officer tried to dispel a group of 10 to 15 disorderly youths. One of the youths threatened the officer with a handgun, and one displayed a butterfly knife. They punched the man in the face and fled. One of the attackers was described as having a hard cast on his right wrist.

RUSSELL AVE.,11:40 p.m. Oct. 18. Three men accosted a male pedestrian, and one of them began slashing at the pedestrian with a razor. The assailants fled.

WEST SIDE DR.,800 block, Oct. 20. A man cut a person with a razor or knife after an argument. A man, 26, was arrested at the scene.

ROBBERIES

BAY LEAF WAY,18500 block, 9:56 p.m. Oct. 18. Three males wearing Halloween masks followed a driver who had just exited his vehicle. They tripped him, hit him in the face and ribs, took his wallet and fled.

CLOPPER RD.,800 block, 10:15 p.m. Oct. 20. Two males with handguns assaulted two males and demanded cash. One of the assailants struck one of the males with the weapon and took cash. One of the suspects was found on Perry Parkway, and one escaped.

CLOPPER RD.,13500 block, 9:55 p.m. Oct. 18. Two men entered a restaurant and became angry when a waitress brought their bill. One of the men pulled out a knife, and both fled.

LOST KNIFE RD.,11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Oct. 16. A male reported he had been accosted by five males at a transit center who demanded cash.

MEADOW VISTA WAY,17700 block, 2:35 p.m. Oct. 21. Two males knocked down a male youth, struck him with their fists and fled.

MONTGOMERY VILLAGE AVE. AND STEDWICK DR.,2:15 a.m. Oct. 15. A male accosted a male pedestrian, implied he had a weapon and demanded cash. The assailant struck the pedestrian, took property and fled.

PEARLBUSH DR.,7900 block, Oct. 16. A man and a woman turned on a friend trying to mediate a domestic dispute. They kicked and beat her, robbed her of property and fled.

SHILOH CHURCH AND CONRAD SPRINGS ROADS,8:14 a.m. Oct. 18. Two men approached a male driver at the above intersection, stabbed him and fled in his car. Two men, both 20, were arrested.

SNOUFFER SCHOOL RD.,8500 block, 2:40 p.m. Oct. 16. A man placed an order for a food delivery. When the driver arrived with the food, the man met him, pulled out a handgun, took cash and fled.

WATKINS MILL RD. AND CRESTED IRIS DR.,10 p.m. Oct. 13. A male robbed a person at gunpoint of cash and property and fled.

CROSSBOW LANE,100 block, 2 to 5 p.m. Oct. 16. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

FREDERICK AVE. N.,6 p.m. Oct. 15 to 6 p.m. Oct. 16. Property was stolen from a cookie business entered by force.

GRAND CORNER AVE.,1-100 block, Oct. 16 to Oct. 18. An attempt was made to enter a sporting goods store.

HALFPENNY COURT,11:50 a.m. to 12:40 p.m. Oct. 19. A bicycle was stolen from an open garage at a residence.

KING JAMES WAY,17000 block, 10:30 p.m. Oct. 17. Someone told police that he had heard people in an apartment that should not have been occupied. Police arrested three men.

LAYTONIA DR.,7500 block, Oct. 17 to Oct. 19. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

LOST KNIFE CIR.,18400 block, 5 p.m. Oct. 17. Cash and credit cards were stolen from a purse.

FIRST ST.,1200 block, 9:50 p.m. Oct. 24. A woman, 20, was arrested and charged with domestic assault in an earlier incident.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

CHAPMAN AVE.,1900 block, 3:55 p.m. Oct. 25. A wallet was stolen from a dressing room at a retail store.

COLLEGE PKWY.,400 block, 3 a.m. Oct. 25 to 3:40 a.m. Oct. 26. A laptop, two video game consoles, a high-definition multimedia interface cable, a video game controller and a video game were stolen from a residence.

FALLSGROVE DR.,700 block, 9:30 Oct. 9 to 8 a.m. Oct. 10. A Global Positioning System device and a digital music player were stolen from a vehicle.

FIRST ST.,800 block, 11 p.m. Oct. 22 to 5:45 a.m. Oct. 23. A rear seat, a front bumper, a front grill, a set of headlights, a tire lock and a spare tire were stolen from a vehicle.

SHADY GROVE RD.,15200 block, 8 p.m. Oct. 21 to 4 p.m. Oct. 22. Someone attempted to enter a medical office by prying a front door.

STONESTREET AVE. N.,400 block, 11 p.m. Oct. 21 to 8 a.m. Oct. 22. A front grill, a set of headlights, two radios, a seat cushion, a rear seat, a door panel and a radio cover plate were stolen from an auto repair shop that someone entered by prying a garage door.

TWINBROOK PKWY.,700 block, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 20. A saw, a drill and a bicycle were stolen from a residence's back yard.

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE.,7600 block, Oct. 25. Two of three males got out of a vehicle and accosted a female who was waiting for a ride. They took property from her and fled in the vehicle.
