"The NewsHour With Jim Lehrer" (Channel 26 at 7) talks to U.S. Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson about the government's $700 billion rescue package.

Jason Priestley shows up on "My Name Is Earl" (Channel 4 at 8) as a better-looking cousin who shatters Earl's self-esteem on his first wedding anniversary.

Hilda's salon is in bad shape on "Ugly Betty" (Channel 7 at 8) when the city denies her a business permit, but don't think a minor legal issue will stop her from working.

Chef Ramsay's criticism of an Italian restaurant in Stamford, Conn., backfires as the owner shuts the place down in frustration on "Kitchen Nightmares" (Channel 5 at 8).
