What's Next?

"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," the seventh and last book in the series, is being divided into two movies. The first is scheduled to be released in November 2010, and the second part in May 2011. Studio officials said this schedule would not be affected by the delay of "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince."

Movie No. 6: What We Know

· "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" is almost done. But the movie will not be completely finished until shortly before the release in July to avoid leaks.

· The book has an important battle involving Harry Potter, Draco Malfoy, Severus Snape and Albus Dumbledore, but it won't be in the movie. It's too much like the climactic battle in the previous Potter film, the producer has said.

She already has.

Early this year she wrote an 800-word prequel, a work of events that happened before another story, that was auctioned for charity. It sold for nearly $50,000 to an anonymous bidder.

Rowling's "The Tales of Beedle the Bard" goes on sale Dec. 4. It was mentioned in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," when Hermione Granger learns that Dumbledore left her the children's storybook in his will.

As for an eighth Potter book, nobody knows what Rowling will do. For years she insisted that she would write only seven. Then, late last year, she hinted that she might write another one -- but not for 10 years! And, she said, she isn't sure that Harry would be the main character.
