"Metropolitan Cooking & Entertainment Special" (Channel 50 at 8) offers tips for throwing parties, from large bashes to small get-togethers.

Soledad O'Brien reports in "One Crime at a Time" (CNN at 8), which examines efforts in New Orleans to stop crime and bring order to the still-struggling city.

Want some family drama in anticipation of the holidays? "An Old-Fashioned Thanksgiving" (Hallmark at 9), based on a Louisa May Alcott story, features an icy reunion between a wealthy woman and her cash-strapped daughter.

With most of Earth underwater, a team of adventurers in the futuristic movie "Lost City Raiders" (Sci Fi at 9) tries to save what's left.

On CMT, "My Big Redneck Wedding" (at 9) brings together a couple with five kids between them, and "Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders: Making the Team" (at 9:30) has a contest called pompom punishment. Sounds scary.

"Fox Business Profile: Dennis Kozlowski" (Fox Business Network at 11) features an interview with former Tyco chief executive Dennis Kozlowski, whose appeal of his fraud conviction was rejected last month.

Sunday morning roundup: "Fox News Sunday" (Channel 5 at 9) interviews David Axelrod, an adviser to President-elect Barack Obama, and Reps. Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) and John Boehner (R-Ohio); "This Week" (Channel 7 at 10) has Axelrod and Sens. Jimmy Kimmel hosts the 36th annual American Music Awards (Channel 7 at 8), at which Annie Lennox will be honored and featuring performances by Christina Aguilera, Coldplay, Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift and Beyoncé.

The first of three documentaries airing Sunday through Tuesday, "Maryland Generations: The Jewish Experience" (Channel 22 at 8), examines the Maryland Jewish community and its contributions socially and culturally.

"Masterpiece: The Unseen Alistair Cooke" (Channel 26 at 9) profiles the late host of "Masterpiece" through interviews with family and friends.

Miguel looked way too excited to kill a criminal last week; sure enough, "Dexter" (Showtime at 9) gets worried when his partner in crime gets a bit too knife-happy.

"True Blood" (HBO at 9) wraps up Season 1 with Sookie making a break in the Bon Temps killings case, though it puts her in danger.

Now that Vince seems to have struck out in Hollywood, the gang on "Entourage" (HBO at 10) heads back to Queens in the season finale.
