A man was killed in an apparent drive-by shooting this morning near the 6800 block of Central Avenue in Capitol Heights, Prince George's County police said.
Police were called to the area about 3 a.m. to investigate a car accident, but officers arrived to find that one of the victims had been shot. Two others received minor injuries after their car hit a fire hydrant.
"At this point we're still trying to sort out what occurred," Cpl. Mike Rodriguez said.
The shooting followed an altercation at a local establishment between the gunman and the three people, Rodriguez said. He declined to name the establishment.
None of the victims' names were released because family members had not been notified.
