FREDERIC FEKKAI GLITTER HAIR SPRAY
I have a theory about the formula for creating a "holiday" beauty product:
Step 1: Choose any existing product.
Step 2: Add glitter.
Frederic Fekkai's Spray On Hair Crystals does little to disprove my hypothesis. The grooming guru's limited-edition aerosol shine spray claims to deliver "instant glamour" by giving your hair a flexible, fine coat of shimmer in one of three hues (champagne, bronze or copper). In reality, it's a very light hair spray. With loads of colored glitter. Thus, your locks won't be the only thing shining: Those chunks of glitter will follow their manifest destiny to your hands, face, body, clothes, coat, shoes and apartment.
So, will you love it? Well, I didn't. But your results may be different. It probably depends on how much your holiday parties resemble raves. Or how close you are to your high school graduation.

MAC Dazzleglass Lip Gloss
The seasons may change, but I never leave the house without a coat -- on my lips, that is. Shiny, shimmery, slick: I've got the glossy-lip look down. Still, despite a collection of lip lacquers in every color, I've been estranged from glitter-loaded versions since high school. MAC Cosmetics' Dazzleglass just might have changed that.
I slicked on three shades from the collection. A few strokes of the frosty-raspberry Love Alert and I was ready to work it down a red carpet. Three swipes of the copper-flecked Miss Dynamite at 8 a.m. survived two meals, frequent swigs from a water bottle and an afternoon of chatter. By 4 p.m., there was only a trace of the gloss, but the golden sparkles lingered. It was the milky-pink Sugarrimmed, however, that won my affection (and a spot in my beauty bag) in the end. Even though this gloss is slightly pricier than the brand's standard slicks, for the holiday-party circuit, it's a coat I'd be remiss not to don before heading out the door.
