Highlights

The 2008 World Music Awards (Channel 20 at 8) presents a Diamond Award to Ringo Starr, accepting on behalf of the Beatles, for selling more than 100 million albums. Beyoncé, Ne-Yo and Kid Rock perform.

The fiercest of the fierce "Project Runway" contestants, Christian Siriano, helps style contestants during a makeover on "The Biggest Loser: Families" (Channel 4 at 8).

The evil Burgermeister Meisterburger bans toys on the animated classic "Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town" (Channel 7 at 8), in which Mickey Rooney voices Kris Kringle, the brave soul who takes on the enemy to save innocent children's presents.

An alleged "all-natural" fitness instructor collapses on "House" (Channel 5 at 8), and the team finds something mysterious behind her super-healthy facade.

Season 8 of "According to Jim" (Channel 7 at 9) premieres with back-to-back episodes, in which Jim forces his kids to take the fall for his mistake, and grudgingly becomes his wife's new confidant when her old one moves away.

"Fringe" (Channel 5 at 9) defies the laws of physics when high-tech thieves capture someone within a mysterious, solidified wall.

Speaking of the laws of physics, "The Universe" (History at 9) investigates the practical challenges of "space sex."

On a show that could make Tila Tequila look classy and demure, the season premiere of "Bad Girls Club" (Oxygen at 10) follows seven unapologetically brazen women living together in a Los Angeles mansion.

Benson has traumatic flashbacks on "Law & Order: SVU" (Channel 4 at 10) about her own sexual assault while working on a case involving a pregnant Marine.

"Shatner's Raw Nerve" (Bio at 10) premieres with William "Capt. Kirk" Shatner chatting with actress Valerie Bertinelli about cringe-worthy topics.

The season finale of "Paris Hilton's My New BFF" (MTV at 10) wraps up with the heiress choosing a new, willing sidekick.

"The Daily Show With Jon Stewart" (Comedy Central at 11) features journalist-author Calvin Trillin.

Comedian-actress Kathy Griffin and singer Colbie Caillat are on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" (Channel 4, 11:35).
