ROBBERIESMONTROSE RD., 6100 block, 4 p.m. Nov. 11. A female inside a specialty grocery offered to escort an elderly female shopper home after the shopper became ill. Once inside the shopper's apartment, the female took property and fled.
THEFTS/BREAK-INSALLISON DR., 1300 block, 11 p.m. Nov. 10 to 8 a.m. Nov. 11. A digital music player and its power cord were stolen from a vehicle entered by force.

VILLAGE OF CHEVY CHASE NEIGHBORHOOD, 8 p.m. Nov. 15 to 9 a.m. Nov. 16. Three vehicles were entered, and a Global Positioning System device and cash were stolen.
DEMOCRACY BLVD., 7100 block, 6 p.m. Nov. 11 to 6 p.m. Nov. 12. A satellite radio, a purse and a Global Positioning System device were stolen from three vehicles in a mall parking lot.

Global Positioning System devices, electronic equipment, clothing, a satellite radio and cash were stolen from four vehicles. Some of the vehicles were entered by force. A Baltimore man, 19, and another man, 22, were arrested and charged with theft.
STRATTON WOODS NEIGHBORHOOD, 5:30 p.m. Nov. 11 to 4:14 a.m. Nov. 12. Two vehicles were entered, one of them by force. Nothing was reported missing in either incident.
WALNUT AND TILDEN WOODS NEIGHBORHOODS, 7 p.m. Nov. 10 to 9 a.m. Nov. 11. A Global Positioning System device and other electronic equipment were stolen from four vehicles. Some of the vehicles were entered by force. A Baltimore man, 19, and another man, 22, were arrested and charged with theft.
SUSPICIOUS INCIDENTSPRUELL DR., 4000 block, 9:30 a.m. Nov. 13. A man knocked on the door of a residence and told the man who answered the door that he worked for the gas company and needed to get inside to turn off gas to the residence. The man could not produce identification, and the resident refused to let him in. The man fled in a white Dodge pickup. A follow-up call to Washington Gas indicated no record of a service call to the address.

CASTLE BLVD., 13900 block, 1:30 a.m. Nov. 18. Davonn D. Dupree, 14, of Springfield was found in a stairwell, unresponsive and with multiple injuries. She died at the scene.
ARRESTSOLD COLUMBIA PIKE, 14400 block, 2:53 a.m. Nov. 17. A male youth sought by Prince George's County police on charges of attempted homicide was arrested after a chase. Two males with him also were arrested.
INDECENT EXPOSURECASTLE BLVD., 14000 block, 11:10 a.m. Nov. 10. A male in a green van drove alongside a female pedestrian, called her name and, when she turned, exposed himself. The woman fled, and the assailant drove off.
ASSAULTSBARRON ST., 8000 block, 8 p.m. Nov. 15. Two acquaintances were handling a handgun when the gun discharged.
ROBBERIESCASTLE BLVD., 14200 block, 5:50 p.m. Nov. 14. Two males with a gun followed a male pedestrian and ordered him to get on the ground. When the man ran off, one of the assailants fired a shot.
DENNIS AVE. AND GLENHAVEN DR., 3:06 p.m. Nov. 17. A male youth accosted another male youth at knifepoint, took property and ran away. The victim chased the robber but was unable to catch him.
DISCOVERY PL., 1 to 99 block, 1:36 a.m. Nov. 16. A man grabbed a male pedestrian and searched his pockets. The pedestrian fell to the ground, and the assailant fled empty-handed.
NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 11200 block, 9:25 p.m. Nov. 15. Two men got out of a vehicle, accosted a female pedestrian and tried to take her property. When the woman resisted, she was punched in the arm. The robbers took property, and fled in a white sport-utility vehicle.
PINEY BRANCH RD. AND ARLISS ST., 7:20 p.m. Nov. 12. Two men with a handgun accosted a man and ordered him to empty his pockets. One of the men searched the man and took property. Both fled.
RODNEY RD., 10400 block, 7:45 p.m. Nov. 13. Two men accosted a man at gunpoint, ordered him to stop walking, searched him, took property and fled.
TECH RD., 12200 block, 3:10 a.m. Nov. 17. A man entered a convenience store with a torch in hand, approached the counter and ordered the clerk to place cash in a bag. The employee complied, and the robber fled.
11TH AVE., 8600 block, 12:50 p.m. Nov. 14. Two males accosted two women who were walking in their yard, grabbed one of them and took property. One of the robbers pushed the other woman to the ground and took her property. Both assailants fled in a Nissan.

ROBBERIESHEATHFIELD RD., 4100 block, 4:50 p.m. Nov. 12. Several males followed a man off a bus, threatened him at knifepoint, took property and fled.
JEFFRY ST. AND NEOLA RD., 7:20 p.m. Nov. 11. Several males accosted a woman after she got off a bus and pushed her down, assaulted her and took her purse. A black sport-utility vehicle was seen driving alongside the males as they assaulted the woman.
MIDDLEBRIDGE AND LAYHILL ROADS, 1:39 p.m. Nov. 16. A male approached a boy and asked for the time. A second male came up, held the boy's arms and took property. The males fled on foot. A Rockville man, 18, was arrested nearby and charged with strong-arm robbery.
VEIRS MILL RD. AND ANDREW ST., Nov. 12. Four masked males accosted a male who had just gotten off a bus, assaulted him, took property and fled.

GEORGIA AVE. AND NORBECK RD., Nov. 11. A number of daytime thefts occurred at a Park and Ride lot. Other thefts occurred overnight in the area of Great Oak Road, Turkey Branch Parkway and Adrian Street. Some of the vehicles were unlocked.
GOOD HOPE RD., 15000 block, Nov. 11 to Nov. 12. Property was stolen from a church.
JACQUELINE CT., 13600 block, Nov. 10. A residence was entered. The burglar is believed to be an acquaintance of the homeowner.
NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 13400 block, Nov. 15 to Nov. 16. Property was stolen from a dry-cleaning business entered by force.
NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE. AND ROUTE 108, Nov. 10 to Nov. 19. Thefts from 19 vehicles occurred. At least seven occurred during the day at church and commercial lots.
PEAR TREE CT., 14200 block, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Nov. 14. Two to four males entered a residence by force, took property and fled in a black sport-utility vehicle.

ASSAULTSNEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 7600 block, 7:10 p.m. Nov. 20. A male in front of a business pulled out a knife, shouted a gang affiliation at a male and lunged toward him. A male youth was arrested and charged with first-degree assault.
ROBBERIESANNE ST., 10:08 p.m. Nov. 25. Three males got out of a vehicle and accosted a male pedestrian. Two of the assailants placed handguns at the pedestrian's side, and the third placed a knife at the front of his body. They threatened him, took property and fled in a vehicle driven by a fourth person.
