Alex Montgomery scored 20 points to lead Georgia Tech to a 70-57 upset of No. 21 Michigan State yesterday in Atlanta.

The Yellow Jackets (6-2) overcame a 12-point deficit to win in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge.

Michigan State (6-2) got to 52-50 on Brittney Thomas's layup with 5 minutes 19 seconds remaining, but Georgia Tech pulled away down the stretch.

· CONNECTICUT 96, HOLY CROSS 37: Freshman Caroline Doty scored 11 points and extended her school-record streak of made three-pointers to 10 to lead the top-ranked Huskies (6-0) over the visiting Crusaders (1-6).

The national record is 14 straight three-pointers by Portland's Deanna Lansing in 1996.

· NORTH CAROLINA 72, OHIO STATE 63: In Columbus, Ohio, Jessica Breland scored 29 points and the second-ranked Tar Heels held the No. 18 Buckeyes scoreless for more than nine minutes of the second half to take a win in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge.

Breland, averaging 13.5 points a game, had 21 in the opening half as the Tar Heels (9-0) opened a 41-37 lead.

Jantel Lavender had 27 points for the Buckeyes (6-2).

· OKLAHOMA 69, CREIGHTON 49: In Norman, Okla., all-America center Courtney Paris needed a late surge to record her 99th straight double-double with 11 points and 16 rebounds, and the No. 6 Sooners (5-2) overcame a lethargic effort to beat the Bluejays (2-4).
