When: Today, 3:30 p.m.

Where: M&T Bank Stadium, Baltimore.

This Story

Records: Mavericks 13-0, Hawks 13-0.

How they got here: Eastern Tech defeated Queen Anne's County, 28-6; River Hill handled Century, 48-14, for its 27th consecutive victory.

Finals history: This is a rematch of last year's 2A final, a 14-7 River Hill victory. Eastern Tech also lost in the 1998 final, while the Hawks are making their third consecutive title game appearance, having lost in the 2006 final.

What to watch: Both teams have high-powered offenses, averaging more than 40 points per game, and defenses that allow less than one touchdown per game. Something has to give. River Hill has enjoyed one of the finest seasons in state history, outscoring opponents by a combined 553-54.

It could come down to: Staying poised. River Hill has plenty of talent, but the Hawks haven't been tested much. They have yet to trail this season and have trailed only once during their two-year winning streak; Eastern Tech led 7-0 at halftime in last year's title game.
