-- Ludacris's WeMix Partners With Phonezoo: Ludacris is launching WeMix a new user-generated music site with Phonezoo to give independent artists a way to create and distribute ringtones. WeMix is kicking off with a channel on Phonezoo that will include profiles of artists and ringtones. As a whole, WeMix now has more than 50,000 active artists on its site and more than 100,000 original songs.

-- Skyfire Gets An Update: Skyfire has made its beta browser available to users in the UK and no longer requires users to register before downloading the application. Skyfire Beta 0.8.5 now supports VGA and Windows Mobile 6.1 and expanded its support for Nokia (NYSE: NOK) phones by a dozen. Release.

-- MySpaceID On Vodafone (NYSE: VOD) And Netvibes: As part of MySpace's Open Platform push, the social networking site has collaborated with Vodafone and Netvibes to include mobile support for MySpaceID, which gives users a more optimized direct link into their MySpace accounts. The companies are working together to develop more features and capabilities. MySpaceID already includes implementations with AOL (NYSE: TWX), Flock, Eventful, Flixster and Yoono. Release.

-- Amobee Adds Support For More Handsets: Mobile advertising firm Amobee Media Systems has expanded its Handset Application Program Interface to support the Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) iPhone and Android operating systems. With support already on board for BREW, Java, BlackBerry and Symbian, Amobee supports just about everything, but Windows Mobile. The platform supports text, graphics and video. Release.

-- Skype for Windows Mobile: Skype said today that it has launched a new version of its mobile Skype client for Windows Mobile devices. Called Skype 2.5 Beta for Windows Mobile, it provides free Skype-to-Skype calls; free instant messaging; and calls to phones and mobiles with Skype Credit or a subscription. New to the version is improved sounds quality; better stability; and a design that matches Skype online. It can be downloaded here.
