WALDEN/SIERRA OFFERS CRISIS SUPPORT
A 24-hour hotline is available for Southern Maryland residents for confidential help and support during the holidays. Walk-in services are available at several locations in St. Mary's County, including Walden/Sierra offices in California, Leonardtown and Charlotte Hall. Counselors can advise on depression, family violence, substance abuse, homelessness and other issues. Emergency assistance and trauma counseling are available for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. 301-863-6661.
LOW-COST PRIMARY CARE IN ST. MARY'S
St. Mary's Hospital Health Connections has started Get Connected to Health, a low-cost primary care service for uninsured county residents that will be held 1-5 p.m. every Monday in the Health Connections Mobile Outreach Center at Lexington Park Library, 21677 FDR Blvd., Lexington Park.
