Bartels won the Region II title (19 minutes 3 seconds) one week after placing second in the Northwestern District championships (18:59) and led the Tigers to the team title both times. She placed 12th at the AA state championship and ran a personal-best 18:40 at the Nike Cross Nationals Southeast.
