Regarding "In Dark Times, You Need a Mark Felt in the Shadows," Hank Stuever's Dec. 20 Style appreciation of the former FBI official once known only as "Deep Throat":

I would love to see a small plaque at the entry to the garage of 1401 Wilson Blvd. that said: "Here Is Where Bob Woodward and W. Mark Felt Saved Democracy, 1972."

I am sick of grandiose memorials to our failings. We need more commemorations of our successes. Especially our quiet successes.
