· CLIPPERS: G/F Ricky Davis was suspended five games for violating terms of the NBA's drug program.

The suspension will begin tonight against the Kings. Davis will be eligible to return Jan. 8 against the Spurs in San Antonio.

Davis, who has been sidelined with a sore left knee, is averaging 4.3 points in 13 games in his first season with the Clippers.

Davis, 29, signed as an unrestricted free agent after averaging 13.8 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 82 games for the Heat last season.

· NETS: New Jersey assigned 2007 first-round draft pick Sean Williams to the Colorado 14ers of the NBA Development League.

The 6-foot-10 center, drafted 17th overall, averaged 1.6 points and 2.1 rebounds in 11 minutes per game this season.
