Epiphanny Prince scored 17 points and No. 15 Rutgers beat George Washington, 57-47, last night for its 20th straight home win.

Prince, who played just eight minutes in the first half after picking up three fouls, scored 11 of her points while playing the entire second half. Kia Vaughn added 10 points and eight rebounds for Rutgers.

The Scarlet Knights (8-2) showed no ill effects from a 10-day layoff as they jumped out to a 17-8 lead. Antelia Parrish's third three-pointer of the half helped George Washington (7-5) take a 22-21 lead, but Rutgers used an 8-0 run to take a seven-point halftime lead.

The Colonials closed to 40-36 with 10 minutes to play, but Khadijah Rushdan and Prince scored back-to-back baskets and George Washington never got closer than six the rest of the way.

Yolanda Lavender had 11 points to lead the Colonials.

· LOUISVILLE 95, CENTRAL MICHIGAN 72: Keshia Hines scored 18 points to lead the No. 10 Cardinals to a win over the visiting Chippewas.

Becky Burke added 17 points, Candyce Bingham had 14 and Brandie Raddie 13 for the Cardinals (12-1).

Shonda Long led Central Michigan (7-5) with 18, and Kaihla Szunko had 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Louisville's all-American Angel McCoughtry was limited by foul trouble and poor shooting. She played only 15 minutes and left the game for good with four fouls.

· AUBURN 87, DUQUESNE 67: Alli Smalley scored 21 points and Whitney Boddie added 14 points and 13 assists to help the No. 9 Tigers remain unbeaten with a victory over the Dukes in Coral Gables, Fla.
