It was just one win, but Washington Wizards forward Caron Butler said he hopes that the 80-77 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers yesterday could be "the win" to finally get the team moving in the right direction. Butler said he hasn't ruled out the possibility of turning around this miserable campaign.

"To get a game like this, you hope that it gives you a little momentum, shows us that we have what it takes in this locker room in order to stay scrappy," Butler said. "Hopefully, we go to Orlando and get a quality win down there. That's our goal, you know? Every three-game segment to go 2-1 and that will put us at .500 eventually at the end of the season and hopefully, Gilbert Arenas comes back, eventually, and gives us another spark that we definitely need."

The Wizards will actually have to do slightly better than winning two-thirds of their remaining games in order to reach 41 wins. With 50 games remaining, they would have to win 34. . . .

Wizards guard DeShawn Stevenson may have missed facing the Cavaliers with a sore back, but that didn't keep him from heckling LeBron James from the bench. Wearing a colorful velvet jacket and bow tie, Stevenson jawed with James -- whom Stevenson called "overrated" last season -- for most of the night. Asked afterward about their exchanges, Stevenson said: "I don't care. It's whatever. I don't like him. I don't like that dude."

James added fire to the feud last season, even calling on friend Jay-Z to make a rap during the first-round playoff series between the teams. But James refrained on Sunday when asked what the two discussed during the game. "Ask him," James said. "I'm not going there this year."
