ROCKVILLE PIKE, 11700 and 11800 blocks, 6:40 to 7:30 p.m. Dec. 19. In three separate incidents in parking lots, cash, jewelry and a digital music player were stolen from vehicles entered by breaking windows.

GEORGIA AVE., 9300 block, 6:07 p.m. Dec. 19. Two masked men entered a business and approached an employee. The men assaulted two employees, took property and fled in a black 2000 Ford Taurus.
HANNES ST., 400 block, 8:50 p.m. Dec. 17. Three men attacked a female at gunpoint, took property and fled in a red sport-utility vehicle.
PINEY BRANCH RD., 8500 block, 1:44 a.m. Dec. 21. Two males got out of a taxi near an ATM, allegedly to retrieve cash to pay for the fare. When they returned to the taxi, they threatened and robbed the driver of cash at knifepoint.
SWISS CIR., 4100 block, 11:28 p.m. Dec. 19. Five people robbed three people of property at gunpoint. One of the victims, who tried to flee, was shot in the leg.
TREETOP LANE, 1900 block, 6:40 p.m. Dec. 18. A gunman robbed a male of property.

RESEARCH BLVD., 2600 block, Dec. 20. A rape occurred at a hotel. Police said the alleged assailant, a 34-year-old man, was an acquaintance of the female victim.
SUMMIT AVE. N., 300 block, 2:30 a.m. Dec. 20. Two males sexually assaulted a female at an apartment that she had gone to with them in a vehicle. Two males were arrested.

ASSAULTSELMCROFT BLVD., 400 block, 4:06 p.m. Dec. 25. An arrest was made in connection with an incident at this location. A 56-year-old man was charged with second-degree assault.
ROBBERIESROCKVILLE PIKE, 200 block, 11:20 p.m. Dec. 29. Two men at a bus stop near a Metro station demanded cash from a man at gunpoint. During a struggle, the man was shot in the chest. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment and released. Anyone who was in the area at the time or otherwise has information about the incident is asked to call the Criminal Investigations Unit tip line at 240-314-8938.
