DEERBROOK DR. AND HEALTHSIDE WAY, Dec. 23. A pair of computer speakers was stolen from a vehicle entered by breaking a window.

HALPINE RD., 100 block, Dec. 19 to 20. A backpack, digital camera and uniform were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

HIGHLAND AVE., 4700 block, 6 p.m. Dec. 19. A man with a handgun tried to rob a restaurant. No injuries were reported.

GROSVENOR WOODS AREA, Dec. 16 to 17. Laptop computers, cameras, Global Positioning System devices, cellphones and cash were among property stolen from six vehicles, some entered by force.

HELMSDALE RD., 7500 block, 11:30 a.m. Dec. 17. Property was taken from a residence broken into by two men who fled in a blue 2003 Ford F-150 pickup.

KENILWORTH DR., 3700 block, 1 to 8:20 p.m. Dec. 22. A residence was entered by force. Nothing was reported missing.

NEILWOOD DR., 6100 block, Dec. 21. A Global Positioning System device was stolen from a vehicle entered by breaking a window.

OLD GEORGETOWN PIKE, 11700 block, Dec. 19 to 20. A person in a parking lot broke a window on a vehicle, took cash from it and fled.

ROCKHURST DR., 6200 block, Dec. 21. A wallet was stolen from a vehicle entered by breaking a window.

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 11300 block, 4 to 4:30 p.m. Dec. 20. A wallet was taken from an elderly shopper's purse.

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 11700 and 11800 blocks, 6:40 to 7:30 p.m. Dec. 19. In three separate incidents in parking lots, cash, jewelry and a digital music player were stolen from vehicles entered by breaking windows.

SLEAFORD PL., 7900 block, Dec. 22 to 23. Property was stolen from a residence.

ROBBERIES

GEORGIA AVE., 9300 block, 6:07 p.m. Dec. 19. Two masked men entered a business and approached an employee. The men assaulted two employees, took property and fled in a black 2000 Ford Taurus.

HANNES ST., 400 block, 8:50 p.m. Dec. 17. Three men attacked a female at gunpoint, took property and fled in a red sport-utility vehicle.

PINEY BRANCH RD., 8500 block, 1:44 a.m. Dec. 21. Two males got out of a taxi near an ATM, allegedly to retrieve cash to pay for the fare. When they returned to the taxi, they threatened and robbed the driver of cash at knifepoint.

SWISS CIR., 4100 block, 11:28 p.m. Dec. 19. Five people robbed three people of property at gunpoint. One of the victims, who tried to flee, was shot in the leg.

TREETOP LANE, 1900 block, 6:40 p.m. Dec. 18. A gunman robbed a male of property.

WOODLARK DR., 13700 block, 1:51 a.m. Dec. 20. An aggravated assault occurred at a residence. After resisting police efforts to control him, a man wielding a knife was arrested.

BEL PRE RD., 3700 block, 9:35 p.m. Dec. 20. Three males attacked a pedestrian, knocking her to the ground. The assailants took property and fled.

SHOREFIELD RD., 8:40 p.m. Dec. 17. Three males attacked a pedestrian and robbed him of property at knifepoint.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

GAWAYNE TERR., 3700 block, 9:30 p.m. Dec. 21. Two men took car keys from a restaurant employee who had just completed a delivery. The assailants forced the deliveryman to drive the blue 2006 Chevrolet, then ordered him out of it and drove away.

BRANDERMILL DR., 20200 block, 10:20 p.m. Dec. 22. Six people followed a person getting off a bus at Gunners Branch Road, knocked the person to the ground and fled with property.

GERMANTOWN RD., 19700 block, 9:30 a.m. Dec. 20. A person robbed a bank after passing a note to a teller. An arrest was made.

CLARKSBURG RD., 23300 block, 3:58 to 4:32 a.m. Dec. 18. Property was stolen from a gas station entered by force.

EAGLES NEST CT., 12200 block, 4:25 a.m. Dec. 20. A person was arrested at the scene of a report of an indecent exposure.

MATENY RD., 18500 block, Dec. 16. Four vehicles were entered by breaking windows. Tools and a stereo were stolen from two vehicles.

OWL RUN WAY, 18500 block, 6:51 a.m. Dec. 16. Property was stolen from a residence.

SAGE TERR., 12800 block, Dec. 16. Property including a Global Positioning System device, a stereo and tools were stolen from two vehicles.

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

RESEARCH BLVD., 2600 block, Dec. 20. A rape occurred at a hotel. Police said the alleged assailant, a 34-year-old man, was an acquaintance of the female victim.

SUMMIT AVE. N., 300 block, 2:30 a.m. Dec. 20. Two males sexually assaulted a female at an apartment that she had gone to with them in a vehicle. Two males were arrested.

MORNING VIEW DR., 8100 block, 4 p.m. Dec. 17. A man threatened an acquaintance, then struck her with a handgun and fled.

SUMMIT AVE. N., 400 block, Dec. 17. During an altercation, a man injured a male acquaintance with a utility knife. A man, 29, was arrested.

BRALAN CT., 1 to 99 block, 10:15 p.m. Dec. 19. A man attacked a woman and tried to take her purse. After a struggle, he fled empty-handed.

FEDERAL WAY AND GIRARD ST., 6 p.m. Dec. 23. A male robbed a male youth of property and cash at knifepoint.

FREDERICK AVE. S., 500 block, 10 p.m. Dec. 16. Three males attacked a man getting off a bus and fled with property.

ELMCROFT BLVD., 400 block, 4:06 p.m. Dec. 25. An arrest was made in connection with an incident at this location. A 56-year-old man was charged with second-degree assault.

ROBBERIES

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 200 block, 11:20 p.m. Dec. 29. Two men at a bus stop near a Metro station demanded cash from a man at gunpoint. During a struggle, the man was shot in the chest. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment and released. Anyone who was in the area at the time or otherwise has information about the incident is asked to call the Criminal Investigations Unit tip line at 240-314-8938.

ELMCROFT BLVD., 800 block, 6:30 p.m. Dec. 23 to 8 a.m. Dec. 24. A Global Positioning System device, a pair of binoculars and a golf range-finder were stolen from a vehicle.

FREDERICK AVE., 200 block, 5 p.m. Dec. 22 to 5 p.m. Dec. 25. A safe containing checks, vehicle titles and a property lease was stolen from a residence.

GAITHER RD., 500 block, 9 a.m. Dec. 22 to 7:30 a.m. Dec. 24. Caulking materials were stolen from a construction site

GRAND CHAMPION DR., 800 block, 4 p.m. Dec. 26 to 4:30 p.m. Dec. 27. A Global Positioning System device was stolen from a vehicle.

HALPINE RD., 100 block, 10 p.m. Dec. 25 to 11:30 a.m. Dec. 27. A navigation system and receiver were stolen from a vehicle.

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 1600 block, 3:55 to 4 p.m. Dec. 22. Several bottles of perfume were stolen from a retail store.

MAPLE AVE., 7500 block, 2:29 p.m. Dec. 20. A man was arrested in connection with a Dec. 16 armed residential robbery on this block.

MAPLE AVE., 7700 block, 10:58 p.m. Dec. 24. Two men attacked a male pedestrian and demanded property, then fled in a white van.

WESTMORELAND AND WALNUT AVENUES, 5:45 p.m. Dec. 20. Three masked males near a Metro station attacked a pedestrian and robbed her of property at gunpoint.

ANNE ST., 1000 block, 4:11 a.m. Dec. 26. A vehicle was entered by breaking a window. Nothing was reported missing.
