Montgomery County Humane Society has hundreds of animals available for adoption through the Montgomery County Animal Shelter, 14645 Rothgeb Dr., Rockville; the Humane Society's rescue shelter, 607 S. Stonestreet Ave., Rockville; its foster care program; and its Mobile Adoption Unit. Animals can be seen at both shelters from noon to 7 p.m. weekdays, except Wednesday, and noon to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
