You Get to Vote For Natural Wonders

· The Grand Canyon will vie with more than 200 other spectacular places around the world in a competition for the New 7 Wonders of Nature, organizers said yesterday.

The 261 nominees from 222 countries include Niagara Falls and other attractions.

More than a billion people are expected to join in Internet voting to nominate 77 semifinalists. The contest is being run by a Swiss-based nonprofit foundation. Votes can be cast until July at http://www.new7wonders.com.

· This is what is called a real power lunch. President Bush hosted a lunch yesterday with President-elect Barack Obama and every living former president. Also attending were Bill Clinton, George H.W. Bush (the current president's father) and Jimmy Carter.

"We want you to succeed, whether we're Democrats or Republicans," Bush said as he welcomed the group.
