Didn't get one of the coveted tickets to the official inaugural ball? Don't sweat it; you can still eat well. Options for food lovers are plentiful this weekend. On Sunday, gospel accompanies brunch at the Four Seasons (2800 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, 202-342-0444; $250). On Inauguration Day, Proof (775 G St. NW, 202-737-7663) will host a $75 buffet brunch that includes unlimited champagne, with the inaugural festivities showing on four flat-screen TVs. That night, a jeans-and-sliders ball takes over Spike Mendelsohn's Good Stuff Eatery (303 Pennsylvania Ave. SE, 202-543-8222; tickets, $99).
