SHADY GROVE RD., 16000 block, 3:30 p.m. Dec. 29. Yelling and cursing, a male created a disturbance at a flooring business. He was asked to leave and then twice tried to strike a person with his vehicle, allegedly because he saw the person write down his license plate number. He then drove away. The man was later arrested.
ROBBERIESSHADY GROVE RD., 16100 block, 1:39 a.m. Dec. 25. Three men in the parking lot of a fast-food restaurant attacked a man and robbed him of cash. The assailants fled on foot.
THEFTS/BREAK-INSCALIFORNIA CIR., 6000 block, Dec. 28 to Dec. 29. A Global Positioning System device was stolen from a vehicle entered by breaking a window.
DARNESTOWN RD., 10000 block, Dec. 24 to Dec. 26. An attempt was made to enter an art studio by force.

DEXTER AVE., 2100 block, 10:20 p.m. Dec. 26. Five men, one of them armed with a gun, attacked two pedestrians and robbed them of property from their pockets.
16TH ST., 8600 block, 11:30 p.m. Dec. 26. Four males attacked a woman walking to her car, knocking her to the ground and threatening her with a handgun. After a struggle, the assailants fled with property in a four-door vehicle.

VEIRS MILL RD., 11100 block, 5:03 p.m. Dec. 23. In a parking-lot shooting incident that police said was gang-related, a male sustained non-life-threatening injuries and two people were injured by shattered glass. Two females and three males were arrested.
VILLAGE GATE DR., 14800 block, and 14900 block, Dec. 23 to Dec. 24. Property was stolen from three vehicles, two of which were entered by force.
WINDMILL LANE, 1200 block, 2:39 a.m. Dec. 25. Property was taken from an occupied residence. A male wearing a ski mask fled when confronted. There was no sign of forced entry.

ROBBERIESAPPLE RIDGE AND MONTGOMERY VILLAGE AVENUES, Dec. 25. Four men attacked a pedestrian and robbed him of property.
DIAMOND AVE. E., 100 block, 8 p.m. Dec. 30. A customer in a restaurant argued with an employee, then left. He returned with a male accomplice, who demanded cash at knifepoint. When the employee called police, the male with the knife fled. The customer was arrested.
RIDGELINE DR. AND MONTGOMERY VILLAGE AVE., 11 p.m. Dec. 26. Four men attacked a pedestrian and robbed her of a bag. SENECA RIDGE DR., 10600 block, Dec. 29. Four men tried to rob a pedestrian at gunpoint. No property was surrendered, but the victim lost his cellphone when he fled.
WALKER'S CHOICE AND STEDWICK ROADS, Dec. 26. Four men robbed a pedestrian of property.

ANNE ST., 1000 block, 10:55 p.m. Jan. 3. Two males robbed a man walking from his residence to a vehicle at gunpoint. The robbers fled in a dark-blue four-door vehicle.
NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 7600 block, 10:50 a.m. Jan. 3. Two males robbed a business of cash, then forced a female worker into a bathroom. The assailants fled in a gray or silver four-door vehicle, possibly a Mitsubishi Mirage.
14TH AVE., 7200 block, 8:22 p.m. Jan. 2. Two men demanded property from a pedestrian and threatened him at knifepoint. The pedestrian resisted and was able to escape after being punched once in the head. The assailants fled empty-handed in a white four-door vehicle.
