Police Identify Teen Stabbed in Gaithersburg Park

A male found dead yesterday in a Gaithersburg park has been identified as a 15-year-old Hyattsville resident, Montgomery County Police said today.

The body of Dennis Alfredo Guzman-Saenz was discovered near a stream bed at about 7:30 a.m. by a man who was collecting trash in Malcolm King Park, authorities said. Guzman-Saenz had been stabbed repeatedly, police said. Investigators are still trying to determine where and when he was attacked.

"Investigators are looking at all the circumstances surrounding the homicide . . . and part of that is, of course the who, but also the where," said Lt. Paul Starks, a spokesman for the Montgomery County Police Department. "Yes, his body was dicovered in Montgomery County, but that doesn't mean the homicide occurred here. . . . Either way, it's a tragedy."
