Housing Department Is Moving to SE

The Department of Housing and Community Development is moving tomorrow from 801 North Capitol St. NE to the Anacostia Gateway Government Center at 1800 Martin Luther King Jr. Ave. SE (at Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue and Good Hope Road SE, near the Anacostia Metro station). Divisions at 941 North Capitol St. NE will also move to the new location. All offices will be open tomorrow.

The new offices will open at 8:15 a.m. Monday. All phone numbers and e-mail addresses will remain the same. The Housing Service Center will be on the second floor of the government center until a first-floor customer service area is completed.

City Panel Seeks Input on Public Art

The D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities is holding an open house on its citywide public art master plan from 5 to 7 p.m. Feb. 10 at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library, 901 G St. NW. The commission is seeking comment on public art, such as murals, installations and sculptures, for inclusion in the D.C. Creates Public Art program. Call 202-724-5613 or e-mail deirdre.ehlen@dc.gov.

Registration Begins for Summer Camps

General registration for the D.C. Department of Parks and Recreation's summer camps will begin Monday. The department will offer five two-week sessions from June 15 to Aug. 12. The camps will run Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For most camps, fees are $100 per session for D.C. residents.

The parks department will also offer eight one-week coed overnight sessions at Camp Riverview in Scotland. The campground is on 217 wooded acres along the Potomac River near the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay. For information, see http://summercamps.dc.gov.

The parks department offers a scholarship rate for D.C. residents from families on fixed incomes. Eligible children can attend camp at a flat rate of $25.
