Annapolis Area

HOMICIDES

ADMIRAL DR., 600 block, 12:23 a.m. Jan. 27. Michael Joseph Missimer, 39, and Helen Elaine Clapsaddle, 43, were found dead from apparent gunshot wounds in the master bedroom of an apartment where they lived. Police arrived in response to a 911 call from a female asking for police to "get us or you will find two dead bodies." Police suspect that Clapsaddle shot Missimer, then herself.

ASSAULTS

RIVA RD., 2700 block, 7:36 a.m. Jan. 23. An assault was reported.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BLACKWALNUT DR., 3200 block, 2 to 2:12 a.m. Jan. 17. A key was used to enter a home. Nothing was reported stolen. A man, 50, was arrested.

DEFENSE ST., unit block, 12:52 p.m. Jan. 23. A theft was reported.

WEEMS CREEK DR., unit block, 8:30 to 8:40 p.m. Jan. 22. A home's front door was forced open. Nothing was reported stolen.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

RIVA RD., 2600 block, 8:21 p.m. Jan. 22. A vehicle was reported stolen.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

VIKING DR. N., 1200 block, 11:30 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. Jan. 20. Video game equipment, an antique and a TV were stolen from a home entered through a door.

Brooklyn Park Area

ROBBERIES

RITCHIE HWY., 5000 block, 12:41 p.m. Jan. 25. Three boys pushed a 47-year-old man to the ground and took his motor scooter. The man's knee and lip were injured, but he refused medical treatment. Three Brooklyn Park teenagers, two 15 and one 13, were arrested and charged with robbery, carjacking, second-degree assault and theft.

BROOKWOOD RD., 5000 block, midnight to 5:15 p.m. Jan. 17. A back door of a home was forced open. Nothing was reported stolen. A man, 51, was arrested.

RITCHIE HWY. N., 5500 block, 6:15 p.m. Jan. 22 to 7:35 a.m. Jan. 23. Cash was stolen from an automotive store entered through a side door.

Crofton Area

QUEEN MITCHELL RD., 2400 block, 9:02 to 9:03 p.m. Jan. 20. A back door of a home was kicked open. A man, 50, was arrested.

Crownsville Area

MAHOGANY TRAIL, 300 block, midnight Jan. 9 to 4 p.m. Jan. 20. A home was entered through a front door. Nothing was reported stolen.

MAYO RD., 200 block, 10 p.m. Jan. 22 to 1:51 p.m. Jan. 23. A bait and tackle store was entered by forcing open a front door. Nothing was reported stolen.

Friendship Area

FRIENDSHIP RD., unit block, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Jan. 18. A motorcycle was stolen from a garage or shed entered through an unlocked door.

Gambrills Area

ROBBERIES

CLAFFEY AVE., 800 block, 12:40 p.m. Jan. 21. A male held a package and knocked on the door of a home. When a female resident answered, he asked to speak to a male resident, then forced his way inside at gunpoint with another male who was wearing a ski mask. The first intruder put on a ski mask after entering. They bound the female's hands and feet and demanded cash. The resident said there was none in the home. When a male resident arrived, one of the intruders grabbed him and put a gun to his head, demanding the location of cash in the house. The resident complied and was tied up. The robbers fled with cash. The residents freed themselves and asked a neighbor to call police.

WINFIELDS LANE, 1500 block, midnight Jan. 16 to midnight Jan. 17. A computer, TV, VCR, key and other items were stolen from a home entered by forcing open a side door.

Glen Burnie Area

BEACH RD., 100 block, 9:55 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Jan. 19. Jewelry, cash and tobacco products were stolen from a home entered through a side door.

BLAKISTONE RD., 900 block, 7:50 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 21. Jewelry, cash and drugs were stolen from a home entered by breaking a back window.

FOREST RD., 100 block, 10:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Jan. 19. Clothing, cash and a VCR were stolen from a home entered through a door.

JEROME PKWY. N., 100 block, 5:40 to 5:58 p.m. Jan. 21. A back window of a residence was broken. Nothing was reported stolen.

MONTGOMERY DR., 1200 block, 1 p.m. Jan. 16 to 10:51 p.m. Jan. 20. A firearm and video game equipment were stolen from a home entered through a window.

MYERS DR., 7900 block, 12:35 to 3:33 p.m. Jan. 18. A camera and jewelry were stolen from a home entered through a back door.

OAKWOOD STATION RD., 500 block, 8:20 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Jan. 21. A TV and a camera were stolen from a home entered by prying open a back window.

FALLING RUN RD., 3500 block, midnight Jan. 11 to 10:30 p.m. Jan. 19. A TV was stolen from a home entered by prying open a back door.

WHISKEY BOTTOM RD., 3500 block, 2:10 to 7:49 a.m. Jan. 19. A back door of a business was pried. Nothing was reported stolen.

HOMICIDES

JENNIFER RD., 100 block, Jan. 22. A 36-year-old Annapolis man was arrested and charged with first-degree murder, child abuse, assault and reckless endangerment in connection with the death of a 2-year-old boy. The boy was thrown into a couch at a home in the 400 block of Captain's Circle shortly before 5:45 p.m. Dec. 7. The boy, who was related to a female acquaintance of the man's, was unconscious when taken to a hospital. He was taken to a second hospital, where he died. The man was in custody at the Anne Arundel County jail on unrelated charges when Annapolis police served the arrest warrant in connection with the child's death.

CARVER ST., unit block, 4:34 a.m. Jan. 24. A knife or other cutting device was used in an assault.

SOLOMONS ISLAND RD., 2400 block, 10:02 p.m. Jan. 22. An assault was reported.

BAY RIDGE RD., 900 block, 1:41 p.m. Jan.24. An employee's purse was stolen from an unlocked office.

CARVER ST., 7:30 a.m. Jan. 21. Stereo equipment and a piece of an engine were stolen from an unlocked car.

MUNROE CT., unit block, 4 p.m. Jan. 23. Property was stolen from a vehicle.

NEAL ST., unit block, 2:20 p.m. Jan. 23. A theft was reported.

SILOPANNA RD., 8:12 a.m. Jan. 24. A purse and cash were stolen from a parked vehicle overnight.

SILOPANNA RD., 12:20 a.m. Jan. 25. Property was stolen from a vehicle.

SMITH ST., 200 block, Jan. 17 to 19. A laptop, video games, a video game system and 100 DVDs were stolen from a home.

SOLOMONS ISLAND RD., 2400 block, 10:52 a.m. Jan. 26. A theft was reported.

SPRINGDALE AVE., 700 block, Jan. 6 to 20. Pry marks were observed on a wooden window frame of a home, which was not entered.

WEST ST., 1100 block, 12:48 p.m. Jan. 24. Several transactions were made with a credit card stolen from a gym locker in December.

WEST ST., 1900 block, 11:34 a.m. Jan. 23. A theft was reported.

WEST ST., 2000 block, 2:34 p.m. Jan. 23. A theft was reported.

WEST ST., 2000 block, 6 p.m. Jan. 22. Property was stolen from a building.

BUNCHE ST., unit block, 10:30 p.m. Jan. 23. A vehicle was reported stolen.

DEAN AND CATHEDRAL STREETS, 1:30 a.m. Jan. 22. A vehicle was reported stolen.

DEAN AND CATHEDRAL STREETS, 10:20 p.m. Jan. 23. A car was stolen. The vehicle's keys had been left in a backpack in the car, which might have been left unlocked.

GRAFF CT., 1200 block, 12:34 p.m. Jan. 22. A green 1994 Dodge Shadow was stolen.
