Seven people were taken to hospitals early this morning after a taxicab crashed into a bar in the District, authorities said.
None of the injuries in the crash at Solly's U Street Tavern appeared to be life threatening, officials said.
After the taxicab hit the bar, a Solly's employee said, "the wheels were still turning, so the place was filling up with smoke."
But the employee said, " we got everybody out pretty fast."
It was not immediately clear how many of the seven had been in the club and how many were in the cab.
However, the driver of the cab was reportedly one of those who were injured.
The crash occurred about 12:15 a.m. at the club, which is at 11th and U Streets NW.
The cause of the crash was not immediately known.
