Man With a Rifle in Pickup Truck Asks for Obama
A man who stopped outside the Capitol yesterday and told police that he had a delivery for President Obama was arrested after acknowledging that he had a rifle in his pickup truck, authorities said.
Sgt. Kimberly Schneider of the U.S. Capitol Police said the man stopped at the Capitol's north barricade about 4 p.m. and said he had a delivery for Obama.
She said Alfred Brock, 64, of Winnfield, La., was charged with possession of an unregistered firearm and possession of unregistered ammunition.
She said police briefly closed sections of Delaware and Constitution avenues near the Capitol while searching the man's truck.
