The District: 12,000

Maryland: 66,000

Virginia: 93,000

SCHOOLS REFURBISHED

The District: 34

Maryland: 138

UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS:

The District: 36,000 people who lost jobs in the recession get an extra $100 a month; 9,000 additional laid-off people get extended unemployment benefits.

Maryland: 242,000 people who lost jobs in the recession get an extra $100 a month; 40,000 additional laid-off people get extended unemployment benefits.

Virginia: 247,000 people who lost jobs in the recession get an extra $100 a month; 46,000 additional laid-off people get extended unemployment benefits.
