Merideth Marsh tied a school record with eight three-pointers and finished with a career-high 26 points as No. 24 Vanderbilt upset ninth-ranked Florida, 84-68, last night in Nashville, snapping the Gators' seven-game winning streak.

The Commodores (19-6, 8-2) pulled into a tie with Florida for second place in the Southeastern Conference with its second straight win and fourth straight in the series. The preseason favorite to win its first SEC title this season, Vanderbilt opened the game by scoring the first 12 points and never trailed.

Marsh went 8 of 13 from three-point range and tied Abi Ramsey, who also hit eight three-pointers against Florida in 2005. Christina Wirth finished with 20 points, Hannah Tuomi added 17 and Jennifer Risper had 12.

Sha Brooks, the SEC's second-leading scorer, finished with seven points before fouling out for the Gators (22-3, 8-2). Azania Stewart led Florida with 16 points, and Steffi Sorenson had 11.

· IOWA 85, OHIO STATE 75: Kristi Smith scored 20 points, Kamille Wahlin had 19 and the Hawkeyes made 26 free throws in a win over the No. 18 Buckeyes.

Kachine Alexander added 16 points and Wendy Ausdemore 14 to help Iowa (15-9, 8-5 Big Ten) improve to 11-1 at home. Alexander was 14 of 18 from the free throw line and Smith was 10 of 10.

Jantel Lavender scored 32 points on 15-of-21 shooting and grabbed 10 rebounds for Ohio State (19-5, 10-3), which remained one win from reaching 20 for the seventh straight season. Ashlee Trebilcock had 14 points.

· TENNESSEE 80, ALABAMA 61: Alex Fuller scored 18 points, leading the No. 15 Lady Vols in Knoxville, Tenn.

Tennessee now holds a 41-2 lead in the series and grabbed its 34th straight win over the Crimson Tide (12-13, 0-10). Alabama hasn't beaten the Lady Vols since a victory in the first round of the 1984 SEC tournament.

Tennessee (18-6, 7-3) led by 11 at halftime and then used a 14-0 run to pull away. The Lady Vols finished with a 51-31 rebounding advantage and had 20 second-chance points.
