Courtney Paris had 15 rebounds and nine points, coming up short of a double-double for only the second time in her career, and Amanda Thompson helped pick up the scoring slack with 16 points in No. 2 Oklahoma's 69-54 victory against Kansas on Saturday night.

Paris, a 6-foot-4 senior, tied her career low in scoring and played 26 minutes. The Big 12's leading career scorer was 3 for 7 from the field for the Sooners (22-2, 10-0).

The Sooners kept giving up good looks to Kansas, but the hapless Jayhawks hit only four of their first 28 shots, missing time after time from nearly point-blank range before warming up in the second half. Danielle McCray had 23 points for Kansas (13-10, 2-8).

· STANFORD 58, CALIFORNIA 41: Jayne Appel scored 22 points and had 14 rebounds, Jillian Harmon added 18 points and the No. 6 Cardinal overcame its lowest scoring half of the season to beat the third-ranked Golden Bears at home.

Stanford, which scored only 18 points in the first half, snapped California's 12-game winning streak and put the Bay Area rivals into a tie for first place in the Pacific-10 standings.

The Cardinal avoided being swept by Cal (20-3, 11-1) for the first time since 1985-86.

· BAYLOR 72, MISSOURI 43: Danielle Wilson got off to a fast start and finished with 26 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocked shots to lead the No. 7 Bears past the Tigers in Waco, Tex.

Wilson, who was 11-of-13 shooting and matched her career scoring high, scored the game's first basket and blocked Missouri's first shot. Baylor (21-3, 9-2 Big 12) never trailed.

· LOUISVILLE 67, CINCINNATI 52: Angel McCoughtry scored 33 points and made the decisive plays down the stretch, leading the 10th-ranked Cardinals past the Bearcats, extending the best start in their history. Louisville (23-3, 10-2 Big East) held only a two-point lead at halftime over Cincinnati (13-11, 3-8), which has lost seven straight.
